Asynchronous learning is virtual training—or e-learning—available to take any time, anywhere. Asynchronous learning comes in a variety of formats—for example, a course, recorded webinar, lecture, or discussion that learners access and complete on demand. Another thing that differentiates asynchronous learning from synchronous learning is that learners can progress through course content at their own pace.
