ok just to summarise
if you look at your triggers and you notice that an object (A1+click etc.) is triggered under itself as well as under another object (base layer+start timeline/change variable etc.) you are asking for trouble:)
Everything that happens to '(object)A1' should be (in triggers) under either '(object)A1' or under another object('x') to fully control the sequence of events:)

Thanks for helping out Byron!
- byrontik9 years agoCommunity Membercool, no probs, I've had a lot of fun trying to explain myself and evaluating the explanation, I had some issues with a few of our projects and the above sequence theory solved these:) Now it's in writing and useful for our developers also:)

- SusanEllermeier9 years agoCommunity MemberThank you Allison and Byron both for all your help! Recreating this game was my first real attempt at working with Storyline (triggers and variables and conditions, oh my!)
Setting the Gameboard slide to "Resume saved state" and the Results slide to "Reset to initial state" fixed both of my problems. Thanks again!
