I think we do kind of a combo - For branching, scenario- based things, I usually do a branching plan in something like PPT or Visio or Mind Manager. Then I can build that framework & storyboard directly in Storyline so none of that initial work is lost. We tend to have a general design template (ish) to stick to, so visuals aren't that difficult to block out, and might even be somewhat "final." Then I publish to Word (& sometimes have to add more screenshots for layered/animation/illustration build slides) to share with stakeholders. Seems to be working relatively well for us, and the planning up front really helps!

Great tips, Meg! Thanks for sharing your technique. When you set up branching, how do you show the connections between the slides? Simply arrows pointing from one to another? Is it always clear how things are linked?
- MegBertapelle10 years agoCommunity Membersince I'm using like a flow chart diagram, I just add the "yes" or "no" or whatever answer to the connector arrow, so it indicates what selection will take you down which branch. Helps me keep track when I actually build the prototype/final product :)
