Loved this. I had the "seven learning styles" shoved onto me when I taught high school back in the 90s, and of course what kids did with it was say "See? I can't learn from books." They believed (or wished) their brains just couldn't handle reading. I have an adult child with dyslexia, so I know it can be hard, but the idea that a significant percentage of people can't learn from written words would've doomed civilization long ago. We definitely have preferences. I prefer small groups with discussion, and I like to learn by doing. Still, I can learn from a book or a lecture or whatever. It just may bore me. :)
