Storyline 360: Award-Winning Gamified Scenario
This gamified example created with Storyline 360 was voted best soft skills project at DevLearn’s 2022 Demofest—a huge, science fair-like showcase of e-learning examples from creators like you.
It’s easy to see why this project got so many votes! The immersive graphics and realistic scenario are enough to grab—and keep—anyone’s attention.
If you’ve never built a game-based course, you might feel like it’s beyond your reach. But you don’t have to have professionally designed illustrations to create an engaging, gamified experience. You can start small by adding a few game elements—like progress meters or stories that evolve based on learner actions—to your course. And thanks to all the powerful yet intuitive features in Storyline 360, that’s supereasy to do. Simply click on the linked resources to get started.

- IzabelaSamso110Community MemberThis is fantastic work! Thank you for sharing. As a newbie, I had absolutely no idea that one can create such an elaborate and engaging gamified training in Articulate. You've blown my mind.
I just watched the Best of DevLearn DemoFest 2022 webinar recording and I am absolutely in awe of the work you and your team has done. Congratulations on your award! I loved the 3D animations and the fun and exciting game-like elements and the way the assessment feels like a reward. This is one way to make training feel positive and educational.

- LearningSapiensCommunity MemberThis is awesome! Congratulations! May I ask the tool that you used for creating the 3d characters & animations?
- IzabelaSamso110Community MemberThey had a team of graphic designers, if I recall correctly. From the handout:
'Tools used: Articulate Storyline / AfterEffects / Photoshop / Cinema 4D' - MagaliVerrengiaCommunity MemberThank you! We used a 3D program to create all the videos in 3D.
- ChristinaSaraivCommunity MemberThat work is amazing! Thanks a lot for sharing.
- JeffreyRiley-9eCommunity MemberWhat did you use to animate the characters since their arms and legs move?
- MagaliVerrengiaCommunity MemberThey are videos. Each slide has a video that was developed with After Effects.
- RiazAhmad-b9216Community MemberLove this! How long did this take to create?
- MagaliVerrengiaCommunity MemberThanks! Including some back and forth with our client to arrange details, it took 3 months.
- LaurensBeuli891Community MemberThis is amazing! I would love to see a breakdown how you did this. Is there some place to find this?
- thirdTermCommunity MemberHi Laurens! We could set up a brief web call where I could open the storyline file and show you how it was built with variables and different resources, if that proves useful.
- JenniferTurn621Community MemberHi, great demo! How did you get the text to animate one by one? Is that a Storyline feature?
- thirdTermCommunity MemberHi Jennifer, thanks! Would be so kind to specify which text you are referring to? The intro text? Thanks :)
