Very helpful, but spawns a question: It seems the today's learner's first, middle and last stop is mobile video. For example, if I need to fix my pool motor wiring, my first stop is not the user manual, an interactive course, or tests, but a YouTube video. One could argue that a mobile video is not just knowledge, but comprehension (the test being an attempt), application, since the video is side-by-side with attempt (and I didn't electrocute myself, so it works. But then, I couldn't do it again without the video...).
I find my youngish learners skip over everything but the videos and skip any embedded quizzes, while the older folks are willing to take the interactive courses and ILT demonstrations.
