PowerPoint: Customizable Finance Icons

After spending much of my training career in the financial services sector, I've developed a special appreciation for how challenging it can be to find free customizable, finance-themed graphics for e-learning projects. That's what inspired me to create this fresh and flexible set of icons in PowerPoint.

Don't like my color scheme? Change it to one that works for your project. Want to remove an element or change its position? Easy. Just ungroup, rearrange to your liking, and use a right-click of your mouse to save them as your own, custom .pngs.

    How do I change the color scheme? I'm sure it's simple, but I can't seem to figure it out!

      Hi there. All of these icons are simple grouped drawing shapes in PowerPoint. To change their color, simply open the download file in PowerPoint and right-click on an icon. Select "Group" and then "Ungroup" from the menu. This action will result in all of the individual drawing objects that compose the icon being simultaneously selected. From there you can click to select and re-color individual objects, or click several of them at once and change the colors. Hope this quick explanation helps you out!

    Hi Tina,
    I teach Economics and could really use these icons. I'm just learning my way around PPT 2013. Once I have selected the individual objects, where do I go to change the color of the object? I see how to change the theme colors, the shape fill colors, the background colors, but I'm not finding where to change the object colors.
    Thank you for your help.

      I can answer this one! Once you've ungrouped, select just the individual shape you want to recolour and right click. Choose the bottom option 'format shape' and a pane will open where you can change the fill colour, line colour and a host of other things. Hope this helps!

    You don't even have to ungroup them. Click once to select the icon, and click again on a part of the icon you want to change.

    Each of them is a shape, so you can change the Shape Fill or Shape Outline. Some of the smaller shapes like the veins of the leaves will be a little tricky, but not impossible.

    Next time Trina, if you create an actual Color Theme to create your images, then people can simply change the slide's color theme to something that might fit their needs more easily.
