PowerPoint: E-Learning Design Trends for 2020

Here's a sleek little PowerPoint download highlighting some of the emerging design trends we're seeing in the E-Learning Heroes community—and in the broader design community. 

These trends include:

  • Vibrant colors 
  • Minimalism
  • Movement (think motion graphic backgrounds and animated gifs)
  • Diverse, Inclusive Images (think of other dimensions of diversity—not just gender, race, or ethnicity)
  • Google Font Pairings

This project uses a beautiful assortment of Content Library 360 images and the free Google fonts Roboto (condensed and light stroke) and Montserrat.

    Hi! I'm wondering how you set up the arrows which advance to the next slide? I added a new slide, but then when I'm on slide 2, the arrow advances to what is now slide 4, but used to be slide 3. But I can't see a way to edit what happens when you click on the white arrows in the circles.

    If that makes sense!!

      Hi Julia. You'll want to adjust the hyperlink attached to the arrow button on slide 2 to advance to your new slide 3. You can do this in PowerPoint just by right-clicking your mouse on the slide 2 arrow button and selecting "Edit Link" from the menu. From there, you'll want to make sure you're linking to a "Place in This Document" and then you'd select the correct slide number from the adjacent list (presumably slide 3). I hope this helps!     Trina, thank you for putting this together. A number of my faculty are really struggling with creating quality presentations. This is simple, yet impactful - and a great way to open up discussion with them!
