- ReginaGilsonCommunity MemberHello, and thanks for this example. I tried the "Send yourself a copy" link, and it just spins on my dashboard with "No Title". Any tips? I would love to adapt this example for an upcoming project. Regards, Gina
- Sorry about that! It's working for me now, is it working on your end as well?
- ClaudeAbbott-b5Community MemberI actually let the file keep loading... and it took a while but it loaded completely!. Give it a while, and go back and check and you should see it on your dashboard.
- Oh good! Glad it finally loaded. I'm not sure why it would be so slow though, since it's a pretty short course. Very strange!
- KarenDrummey1Community MemberThanks for sharing. It's a helpful course. One suggestion I would make is the text is a serif font and sans-serif fonts are better for accessibility for people with reading disabilities and general reading online.
- That's a really great point, Karen! I will update that immediately :) Thank you
- JackieMcHendryCommunity MemberHello - This course never loads, it spins with a message 'Your course is loading' . I am using Google Chrome
- Hi Jackie,
I just tested it and it's working for me. Can you try again? Could it be due to a slow internet connection?
- AmandaPoleyCommunity Member2. Use Contrasting Colors
Another simple thing you can do to ensure all your learners can read and interact easily with your content is to choose colors for foreground objects—like text and buttons—that stand out from the background. The easiest way to do this is by measuring the contrast—or the difference in brightness—between your foreground and background colors using an accessible color palette builder like this one.
But Rise won't allow for these adjustments. It picks the font colors for you.- Hi Amanda!
You can adjust the font colors in most of the blocks. You can also choose a custom accent color.
- AmandaPoleyCommunity MemberAlso some of the activates like the flash cards are not accessessible. Any plans to make that better?
- Yes! It's on the roadmap: https://articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-360-Feature-Roadmap :) Stay tuned
- ClaudeAbbott-b5Community MemberI just tried sending it to myself, and I get the same problem... it just spins, saying it's loading.... My internet connection is fine, I'm using Chrome. Any suggestions on how to get this template? I really like it.
- Can you try again, Claude? I've had a few people test these links and no one seems to be having this issue so I'm not sure what to do here. Sorry!
- JessicaEdwar812Community MemberThis course never loads. I am connect to our internal network, so internet speed is not an issue.
- Can you try again in another browser? I'm not able to reproduce this issue so I'm struggling to find a solution. Sorry about that!
- BenjaminWeilCommunity MemberThank you for this nice introduction Allison. The sad fact is that you made it with Rise... which doesn't allow to build WCAG compliant courses, and the drag n' drop activity is for instance not accessible :-/
- Hi Benjamin,
While it's true that not every single block type in Rise 360 is currently WCAG compliant, we've made a lot of progress on accessibility and are continuing to work on it. You'll notice that it's on the roadmap to fix that: https://articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-360-Feature-Roadmap :) Stay tuned
Here's our VPAT which explains where we're at: https://articulate.com/fr-FR/support/article/Rise-360-Accessibility-Conformance-Report-VPAT You can follow along with our Rise 360 accessibility journey mire in detail here: https://articulate.com/support/article/Rise-360-Our-Accessibility-Journey Thanks for your understanding and patience as we work to make accessibility improvements. :)
Also, you'll notice that I updated the course replace the drag-and-drop with a multiple response question in the meantime -- thank you for pointing that out!- BenjaminWeilCommunity MemberHi Allison, thank you for your swift and detailed reply. I indeed noticed that much progress has been made on Rise accessibility compliance, which is quite a good new. Keep up the good work dear fellow Lyon dweller !
- LouiseJohns-0a2Community MemberI attempted this interaction with my keyboard and was able to use tab and shift+tab to navigate the interaction, would this work for your users?
- LouiseJohns-0a2Community MemberSorry to point out a spelling mistake, but section 4 of the Check your knowledge section, image has "Now compare our response to ours", Should this be compare "your"
- Thanks Louise! I actually just decided to get rid of that interaction entirely.
