Rise 360: Intro to Digital Accessibility for Instructional Designers

Hello, and thanks for this example. I tried the "Send yourself a copy" link, and it just spins on my dashboard with "No Title". Any tips? I would love to adapt this example for an upcoming project. Regards, Gina

I actually let the file keep loading... and it took a while but it loaded completely!. Give it a while, and go back and check and you should see it on your dashboard.

  Oh good! Glad it finally loaded. I'm not sure why it would be so slow though, since it's a pretty short course. Very strange!

Thanks for sharing. It's a helpful course. One suggestion I would make is the text is a serif font and sans-serif fonts are better for accessibility for people with reading disabilities and general reading online.

Hello - This course never loads, it spins with a message 'Your course is loading' . I am using Google Chrome

2. Use Contrasting Colors

Another simple thing you can do to ensure all your learners can read and interact easily with your content is to choose colors for foreground objects—like text and buttons—that stand out from the background. The easiest way to do this is by measuring the contrast—or the difference in brightness—between your foreground and background colors using an accessible color palette builder like this one.

But Rise won't allow for these adjustments. It picks the font colors for you.

  You can adjust the font colors in most of the blocks. You can also choose a custom accent color.

Also some of the activates like the flash cards are not accessessible. Any plans to make that better?

I just tried sending it to myself, and I get the same problem... it just spins, saying it's loading.... My internet connection is fine, I'm using Chrome. Any suggestions on how to get this template? I really like it.

This course never loads. I am connect to our internal network, so internet speed is not an issue.

Thank you for this nice introduction Allison. The sad fact is that you made it with Rise... which doesn't allow to build WCAG compliant courses, and the drag n' drop activity is for instance not accessible :-/

  While it's true that not every single block type in Rise 360 is currently WCAG compliant, we've made a lot of progress on accessibility and are continuing to work on it.   I attempted this interaction with my keyboard and was able to use tab and shift+tab to navigate the interaction, would this work for your users?

Sorry to point out a spelling mistake, but section 4 of the Check your knowledge section, image has "Now compare our response to ours", Should this be compare "your"
