Rise 360: Media Company Workplace Harassment Course

Here's a compliance course I created for a fictional media conglomerate known as Pixomedia. This course focuses on Pixomedia's workplace discrimination and harassment policies and procedures.

This project uses a mix of block types including text, images, accordion interactions, step interactions, card sorting, knowledge checks, and a quiz. Because this is a compliance course, I restricted the navigation so learners need to complete topics in lesson order, and I've used the continue block to make sure learners complete all the critical activities in each lesson before moving on. You can learn more about controlling course navigation in this article, Rise 360: Control Learner Navigation and more about using the continue block in this article, How to Manage Learner Progress with the Continue Block in Rise 360.

  • Trina - This is a really nice course, i was looking for a simple format to start my own trainingmodules and this is very appropriate: simple and clear messaging. Wondering if you can share the source content with me as well?

Hello, like many others, I think this course is fantastic! Easy to follow, organized so well and the case study/scenarios, interaction and feedback is what I was looking for. I have to ask...may I also have a copy of the course?

Hi Katrina. Sorry to keep you waiting. I just sent over a copy of this course to you.
  • Hi Trina this is just stunning. I never thought of using the link buttons do download resources from a website to replace a bug ugly .PDF file

Do you know there is a way to have the button link directly to a file from a shared drive ?
Also please can I also get a copy of the source file?

    Thanks for you great work

Hi Flynn. Glad you like my project. I just sent you a copy of the course so you can manipulate that source file anyway you'd like.

With regard to the button blocks, you can use a button block (or button block stack) to link to .pdfs published to a web server. Just grab the URL, make sure the "Link to webpage" option is selected under "Destination" and then paste the URL into the field labeled "Enter a web URL."
  • Hi Trina.

This is a really nice course and example of how to use Rise features. Are you able to share the source with me? It would be great .

    Regards from Germany :)

Hello! When I click "send yourself a copy", it takes me to my Rise dashboard however, it doesn't seem to add a copy. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey Raeven. I'm sorry you had trouble with the copy course link I provided. I sent you a copy of this course manually, using the "Send a copy" function in Rise 360. I hope you'll see that email momentarily!
