Blog Post
- DanielBrighamCommunity MemberOh, and another question: was that infographic a link or did you build in Storyline and import? Thanks, again.
- All of the content was from the NASA site. The 3D rover is the only Storyline block.
- ShaneIngramCommunity MemberI love the way Rise now incorporates Storyline blocks. Always a fan of Mars! The first question kept coming up wrong for me though, even though I selected false, that Mars is not the third planet from the sun, it told me I was wrong. The answer said it was True!
Still, well done!- We just like to keep you on your toes. :)
- DanielBrighamCommunity MemberThanks for building this and sharing it!
- DebbieSchube922Community MemberSuch a terrific Rise example! The gifs (especially the cover photo) really add a lot of impact! Great job!
- Yeah, I like the way the GIFs look as cover images and in the gallery. I'll have to use them more often.
- ScottSimpsonCommunity MemberI have a Giphy URL that I want to use as my RISE cover image, but I don't have the file. Can I use this type of media in my cover photo it only gives me the option to upload a cover photo?
- MaryGladdingCommunity MemberLove it. How did you develop the animated video within one of the questions.
- All of the assets came from the NASA site except the 3D rover interaction which is a Storyline block.
- sonicapujji-2caCommunity MemberHI Tom. Just want to confirm you are referring to the landing procedure as the only bit that is storyline block, right?
- CharlesThompsonCommunity MemberThat is some next-level stuff, Tom. Had me scratching my head on how you did things--like having the rover rotate slightly while exploring its cameras, etc. The rest of us will need to up our games to catch you!
- The 3D rotation was built in PowerPoint and then I imported into Storyline. It's actually pretty simple.
- Just as a follow up, I'm doing a two part post on the 3D Mars Rover module. The first details how to create the 3D rotations and the second on how to build the interactive elements in Storyline. It'll start on next Tuesday's post. http://blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/
- Also, here's a previous post on this module

- SeanAikins-e054Community MemberThis is very cool, thanks for sharing!
- KyleMain-25d18aCommunity Membergreat stuff!
Was the block that showed different positions and features using a video to animate the rotations? I don't think it was Flash because I right-clicked and there was not a popup showing options that it was Flash or the options that come with a regular HTML page.
Thanks for any info, I made something like that but used Flash, You made what I thought was now the impossible while using Storyline.
cool!- The 3D rotation was actually created in PowerPoint and then I brought that into Storyline. I'll do a blog post on how I did it.
- KyleMain-25d18aCommunity MemberWow, PowerPoint. I'm excited to see your blog post.
- KepRobinsonCommunity Memberexcellent work! thank you for sharing
