Here’s a fun, modern, audio-filled spin on a scenario-based interaction. I created this project in Storyline 360 using features such as the new Content Library character, “Nerijus,” and fill-in-the-blank questions, states, layers, and triggers, all to simulate a conversation.

This project uses a few free images from Unsplash as well as free audio sound effects from freesound.org.

Enjoy!

  • It would appear, you have to create a sample conversation that will continue, no matter how the learner responds. Is that correct? Was that your intent?

Hi Laurie. The conversation as designed is branched, based on the learner's responses. It ends when you've answered in ways that make Nerijus happy or he asks you to meet with him for a follow-up conversation. Did I answer your question?

I went back re-did it. Looks like you've set up a variable to look for the word "yes" or "no" to alter your response? (I'm guessing!) As there's no way to predict what full sentence a learner might respond with. Either way - it looks like it eventually takes you to the same next action. Is that correct?

Really well done. This was fun to interact with and will keep a learner engaged.

This is so exciting. I may sound cheesy, but this made my day!
