  • Hi Kelly,

That's a great question. You can't actually find the buttons sets you created. The purpose of creating a button set on a slide is so that when you have more than one button on any given slide, if you make them into a set then they behave like a set. For example, if you select one button, it changes to a selected state, and if then you select a different button, the first one changes back to normal and the second one you selected changes state, that sort of thing. But you can't really access that button set from a menu.

What you can do is just copy and paste a button set from one slide to another--just watch for any triggers you might have added to the buttons to see if you still need them on the slide onto which you are pasting. You could also have a hidden slide where you can keep these repeatable objects and just copy and paste from there.

    Hope this helps!

  • These are just perfect. Finally, some square-cornered buttons--and with pre-built states! Thank you so much!
  • Hi, I'm new to storyline and need a little help with these buttons. So I've downloaded the file, and I've opened it in Storyline 2, and right-clicked on the objects to add them to a new button set that I've created.
However, when I then want to add a button to a slide, and go to 'Insert - Controls, the only button set I can find are the ones that are default with Storyline.
Where do I find the button set that I created? (not sure if I am making sense).
I've followed these steps to create the set (https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-2/articles/adding-button-sets-in-articulate-storyline-2).
When I open up my current project, I can't find the new buttons anywhere.
    Any pointers?
    Thanks!
  • These are perfect! I am unable to downlaod this. Can you provide the story file?

Hi Christy - I uploaded a .zip version of the template. Can you please try downloading again to see if that helps? Sometimes browsers treat .storytemplate files differently and that can cause issues w/ downloading.
  • David, great thanks. Just got a new job at one of the outstanding schools in the country. My job is to be the eLearning creator/teacher and create content for staff, student, our training schools (we support 10 other schools) and parents. Oh yea and teach. Really looking forward to the new job. I start right after Easter.
  • Oh by the way David. This is my new home. There are some wonder and amazing resources here. Thanks to everyone in the community. Man do you guys set the bar HIGH!
