- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThanks, Tyler! Unfortunately, I can't share the file. Was there something specific you wanted to know more about?
- MaryDempseyCommunity MemberWow. I'm relatively new to Storyline and am seriously impressed by this example.
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThank you, Mary! It was a fun topic to work on.
- TiffanyGregoryCommunity MemberI am very new to Storyline and have just been assigned a project. Can you give me any tips on how to create something like this? I absolutely love how engaging it was! Job Well done!
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThanks so much, Tiffany! Is there something specific you want to know? This community and Tom's blog have been a huge help...even years later.

Tom's blog: http://blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/- TiffanyGregoryCommunity MemberThank you Sarah! I love the motion in your presentation. Are those videos or different pictures you pieced side by side? I may be asking silly questions but I haven't worked with this long at all.
- EunaKimCommunity MemberI died twice in this module! hahaha
It was so fun and it's beautifully made! :) - LynseyPaterson-Community MemberProbably the most engaging eLearning I have come across on here, absolutely fantastic, thanks for sharing! Although we don't have bears in Australia, I was engaged until the end.
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffAwww....thanks so much Lynsey! That means a lot.
- DavidTaitSuper HeroI love this example, really well done!
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffI appreciate the kind words, David. :)
- RickSellCommunity MemberHaving encountered black bears in the Appalachian wilds, I appreciate and concur with the advice.
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffOh my! Glad you made it back here to comment. :)
- RickSell-23957eCommunity MemberIt was a long time ago. You shoulda seen the bear! Don't think he ever really recovered...
- CindyShaverCommunity MemberThis is great, thanks! I didn't even know Powerpoint had 3d! Can you please tell me how you added the moving fog at the beginning? I wanted to do something like that in a course, but couldn't figure out how.
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThank you, Cindy! Microsoft also has a free 3D model library, Remix. You'll need the Office 365 subscription to use the 3D models in PPT.
To achieve the fog effect, I used transparent fog images made with Photoshop brushes (there's also stock footage options) and then used motion paths to animate at different times.- FaizanMumtazCommunity MemberI was also going to ask about the fog. I couldn't tell if it was something cooked up in After Effects and essentially a trasnparent video. Your use of Photoshop brushes and animating them is very slick looking. Congratulations on an exceptionally designed course!
- ShannonMcGinnisCommunity MemberThis is great--thanks for sharing!!!! Just curious--how much time did it take you from concept to the final product?
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThank you, Shannon! I can't recall the exact amount of time I spent on this project since I was working on multiple projects at the time, but I generally like to give myself somewhere between 6-14 weeks to complete a project similar to this. It depends on the readiness of content, availability of SMEs and how long they need to review, the complexity of the subject matter, and the goals of the project, etc.
- ShannonMcGinnisCommunity MemberThat's perfect--just needed a ballpark. Thank you. I've never created something as involved or complicated (still a newbie with SL) but I like to give stakeholders realistic expectations. I know how much time my courses typically take but if/when they see examples like this, they tend to think a) I could pull it off also and b) in no more time than a much simpler course. I really appreciate you sharing!
- PHITHIMaiAnhCommunity MemberThis is a stunning project !!!! I love it !!!!
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThank you, Anh!
