- AlbertMorteraCommunity MemberGreat!. Thank you very much for making this!
- JeffreyPeters-aCommunity MemberHello - thanks for making this! It's something we can make use of in my training tech group. One quick question - is it safe to assume the music and sound effects are all public use? We have to be careful with anything copyright and/or license required in my realm, so I wanted to be totally sure. Thanks
- AdamMcLeanCommunity MemberArticulate support wrote this to me:
The jeopardy-style game template you are using added custom triggers to display the layer when the states of the choices are selected.
These triggers over-ride the keyboard navigation that we have designed for the Multiple-choice (Pick-one) questions causing the layers to show when you tab or arrow down. I would recommend that you disable these triggers and enable the Submit button in the slide properties. See screenshots for your reference:- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThat makes sense! Thanks for finding that out, Adam! I put it on my list to update this template so it's fully accessible. I will update you here once I upload the new version.
- GraceThomas-7f0Community MemberHi Sarah! I mentioned this in another comment, but I really really love this template! I'm sure you're quite busy with a lot of things, but I was wondering if you've been able to make any headway with making the template accessible. Sorry to bother you!
- AdamMcLeanCommunity MemberGreat template! I am having one issue--when trying to navigate the questions by keyboard, I am not able to cycle through the three answer choices. I've checked the focus order; I'm wondering if there is something more that needs to be done because it is a 'pick one' freeform question?
- AdamMcLeanCommunity MemberUpdate: I removed the 'freeform' from every slide, and this fixed the issue. I added a slide toward the end that puts the score variable into a numerical entry which is then reported to LMS.
I would still love to know how to make free-form questions keyboard accessible, as this is essential for my audience.- GraceThomas-7f0Community MemberHey Adam! I was just wondering—would you be willing to share your fix for this in a little more detail? I'm fairly new to Articulate 360 (only a little over a semester under my belt!) and I'm not sure I can replicate your fix with only the information from your comment. Like you, it's essential that I make this keyboard accessible for my audience. I'd really appreciate any help you (or anyone else!) could give!
This template is really awesome, so I'm really hoping to be able to use it! Sarah, you definitely hit it out of the park with this one. :)
- LucyJellema-6dfCommunity MemberHi!
Thanks for this amazing resource!
I'm hoping that I can adjust the bonus question to be available once the player reaches 3000 points.
I've tried every trigger I can think of and I don't know how to get it to work.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you! :) - MarciGomez-LeeCommunity MemberHi Sarah,
I'll echoed everyone here, this is AMAZING! Thank you for sharing.
I want to incorporate this game into a course as part of an assessment. I see that you have the object trigger set to Restart Course when the user clicks on "Play Again". If I change this to reset results instead of reset course, will the user be able to play the game again to get a higher score so it can report that score to the LMS? We want our trainees to score at least 80% to pass the assessments. Thanks!- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThanks so much, Marci! Also, great idea on the reset results option! I went ahead and updated the template with that new trigger in case you want to download it again. If you've already added it to your copy, just make sure the reset results trigger is above the restart course trigger since triggers follow a certain order. As for the LMS side of things, I definitely recommend testing it out since each LMS is different. I hope that helps!
- MarciGomez-LeeCommunity MemberHi Sara,
Thanks for the update ☺ I went ahead and downloaded it.
Is there a way to reset the question board and not the course instead? This way the learner only does the assessment portion (the game) only?
This will be my second course I'm working on so I'm a newbie with Storyline.
- AnneSmillie-bafCommunity MemberHi Sarah
This is awesome is it easy to add additional questions to the template and do you need to change any variables?
Thanks- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThanks, Anne! You could add additional questions, but there would be quite a bit of redesign work, such as the question board slide to account for all the new questions, editing the variable triggers for each new slide you create, the number at the top of each new slide, and a few other items I might be forgetting. So I can't say for sure how much extra time that would take or whether or not it's worth it to add extra questions.
- AnneSmillie-bafCommunity MemberHi Sarah
I managed to add additional questions and as you say, updated the game board and edited the triggers for the slides and changed the numbers. Took me around 4 working days to do this. However so worth the effort as we are now using it as our annual Christmas Quiz. Once again an awesome template and thanks for sharing.
- ChassidyWebDesiCommunity MemberGreat job! I'm going to use this to review last weeks lessons! I believe this will inspire my class to learn <3 it! Thank you!
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffThat's awesome, Chassidy! I'm so glad you like it! 🙂
- JamesLane-29016Community MemberVery well done! I love that it subtracts points - and the sound effects, too.
- SarahHodgeFormer StaffI appreciate it, James! Finding and selecting the sound effects for this template was really fun. 🙂
