Blog Post
- JoshGoodswen-6fCommunity MemberThanks for your comments everyone. I've not checked this in a while so I'm sorry for the late reply! To answer a few questions:
• I used videos instead of gifs. The quality for full colour gifs isn't very good compared to videos. Videos are a much small file size too.
• It would have been great to add audio, but the company I created this for didn't have audio enabled on their devices.
• I did start working on a blog but I've not had time to continue it. If I find time to add some tutorials I'll post a link to it here.
• I can't share the source files for this course I'm afraid. The company I created this for owns the IP.
Also this course ended up being a finalist at the Learning Technologies Awards 2019 in the Best Learning Game category! - SaraBakalianCommunity MemberHi Josh,
I'm a student using Storyline for the first time. Would you be willing to share a downloadable file so I can see how you made this great module? Thanks in advance! - JoshGoodswen-6fCommunity MemberThanks for your comments everyone!
Daniel Jovanov - The audience is mostly millennials so I did take a lot of inspiration from video games creating this.
Michael O/Chris Walden - The artwork was made in Vyond.
Sara Bakalian - I created this for a client so I can't share the storyline file since it belongs to them. Let me know if you have any specific questions about how something was created. I'm considering starting a blog about how this course and a few others were created. It's just finding the time!- DanielJovanov-aCommunity MemberWill do, when I can find time, of course! Never heard of Vyond, though
- ColetteDeNardo-Community MemberHi Josh, this is awesome! Can you please share your blog info? I'm interested in the triggers and development on the back end. Thank you!
- DianeWestern-0dCommunity MemberHow's the learning curve for Vyond? (Quick, not so quick?)
- CathySchmaltz-3Community MemberI picked it up a few years ago without any training or issues. They have added more features in the last several years, so I've kept up, but I find the interface very user-friendly.
- MichaelOppCommunity MemberVery cool. A couple of hazards were very subtle and nicely done. The slider to show the steps for lifting was great.
Was the Storyline developer the same as the artist? - ChrisWalden-757Community MemberHi Josh - Did you use Vyond for the animations?
- RachelCrabtr843Community MemberChris, correcto those are Vyond/GoAnimate animations ;)

- DanielJovanov-aCommunity MemberMost impressive. It's a lot like a video game!
- CorneliaNihPopeCommunity MemberI just love it! Good work and thanks for sharing with us!
- SharynMaddenCommunity MemberHi Josh! Is there any way you can share the source file? I know you said it is a client's work but perhaps remove the their name from the source file. I am willing to purchase. This is fantastic!!
