The two batteries and the lightbulb are just outlines with no fill. I created those in PowerPoint just as you show how to do above under "How Does the Effect Work." Behind the two batteries, I used state changes that show a bar with increasing heights as you move along the slider. Then for the light bulb, I used a GIF of a light flickering. The GIF stays hidden until the slider reaches that highest value.
Using the GIF was a gamechanger because I didn't have to create the flicker effect. Since it's a GIF, it's always flickering but you just don't see it because it's hidden until the final value is reached on the slider.
