OMG...you will never believe this, but this is the exact challenge or inspiration that I needed today. Literally 20 minutes after reviewing this challenge and watching Tom's videos on how to change fonts into vectors, I was asked to create icons... Guess what I am doing.....building icons using webdings for work right now :) Gotta love ELH. I just had to share this.
