- DavidCharney110 years agoCommunity MemberThanks! Yeah... I was thinking 124 steps was insane, but if you are willing to go through them all, you wont be let down! That flipbook is one of our subscription templates but I will try and get it in the freebies the next week so you can use it if you like. I do like how it turned out. It was created in After Effects, rendered as an mp4, then using layers, plays through the mp4 at the right time in Storyline.
- OscarGuillen10 years agoCommunity MemberThanks David for the info, I have created some animations on flash, door opening, book covers opening etc and then rendered as mp4. Will try After Effects next time.
- KristinAnthony10 years agoCommunity MemberNice flipbook effect, David! I would totally try really hard to consider taking the 723 step process.
- OscarGuillen10 years agoCommunity MemberSame here, like the flipbook effect, did you use flash to create the animation?
- JoannaKurpiewsk10 years agoCommunity MemberThat's fantastic, David.
I'm ready to take even 724 steps! - JackieVanNice10 years agoSuper HeroNice one, David!
- DavidCharney110 years agoCommunity Member@Oscar - Yeah, Flash can do some nice stuff but these days you have to convert it to a video format to really use it in something like Storyline (as it should work in HTML as well). Flash will often drop frames during output so that it looks choppy.
The biggest trick is the tiny tweaks until everything flows together between slides, layers, and mp4s. Perhaps I will do a tutorial sometime soon on this. - CeciliaBernal10 years agoCommunity MemberVery creative David!, and nice effect, please let us know when it is uploaded in the freebies area ;)
- MatthewGuyan10 years agoPartnerThat's great David! The flipbook effect is very cool.
- DavidCharney110 years agoCommunity MemberHey Storyliners - That flipbook was made a freebie of the week. So please download and use as you like. It works for both Storyline and Storyline 2: http://elearninglocker.com/portfolio-items/storyline-book-page-flip-transition/
