I'm cheating a bit and using something I created a little while back for another course I did.
This nesting tab interaction that runs down the left side, and the submenus show up ON CLICK (not on hover) It includes a locked activity that unlocks when all previous tabs have been visited.
The example also includes forward and back buttons, as my lazy teenagers were upset that they had to keep going to the menu to change pages.
Here is the example https://360.articulate.com/review/content/ef5ec20d-d000-4ba0-97be-07703eb83b4d/review
You can download it from here - https://www.dropbox.com/s/i365f4bu1y3l9kr/menus-buttons.story?dl=0
Feedback to help me improve is always appreciated!

- Ron_Katz4 years agoCommunity MemberThis was cool. I hadn't thought about nesting menus this way in Storyline.
- JeffreyRiley-9e4 years agoCommunity MemberThat is a good idea for nesting menus and it can help if you link to more slides. I have even seen this done with drop down menus. Nice example.
- MollyFisher-dd04 years agoCommunity MemberHi Jennifer! I like how your menu had a pop-up on the hover for the other links!
I did have some trouble clicking the arrow icons you used, which happens to me all the time with icons from the content library. I get around this by putting a hotspot over the image and using that as the "when the user clicks" trigger instead of the object itself so it's easier to click, since the white space doesn't count as part of the icon.
I appreciate the content/discussion of the interaction and you really put a lot of information in the project. Nice work!- JenniferGupta4 years agoCommunity MemberThanks for the tip! I'll modify it to make it easier!
