Such a great question for the community! Shared devices are definitely worth thinking through when it comes to Code Block interactions.
The good news is that everything stays in the browser nothing gets sent to any external server. The main thing to consider is which browser storage is being used:
- sessionStorage is the safer choice for shared devices it automatically wipes when the tab closes, so the next learner starts completely fresh
- localStorage hangs around between sessions, so itâs worth avoiding if shared devices are a concern
Itâs also possible to build in a âClear my answersâ reset button so learners can manually wipe their responses before walking away a nice touch that compliance teams tend to appreciate too!
Since these interactions typically capture selections rather than names or IDs, thereâs no PII involved, which usually makes conversations with compliance teams a lot smoother.
That said, itâs always worth reaching out to Articulateâs support team to confirm the specifics they can provide the official guidance and anything you might need to put in front of reviewers with confidence. đ
