Exploring the New Articulate 360 #566

Last week Articulate released new AI-powered formats each designed to solve a different kind of training problem beyond the familiar course.. These new formats let you break out of the usual course mold. You can pick the right tool for the job and build training that matches what your learners need.

And the best way to get a feel for what each format can do is to actually put one to work. And that’s what this week’s challenge is all about!

🏆 Challenge of the Week

This week, your challenge is to build and share an example using one of the new training formats. Pick one (or more) formats, give it a real training problem, and show us how you matched the experience to your learning goal.

  • Guide: Step-by-step instructions and onboarding. Example: walk new hires through company policies, one clear step at a time.
  • Interactive Video: Showing a process or a decision point. Example: take people through a customer service call and stop at the moments that matter.
  • Scenario: Practicing real choices and living with the consequences. Example: give sales reps a tough client objection and let them work through the branches, with no real account on the line.
  • Training Deck: Quick overviews and refreshers. Example: reinforce safety procedures with short, interactive slides.
  • Course: Multiple interactive lessons with quizzes. You already know this one so see what the AI gives you as a starting point.

NOTE: Users on a subscription without AI will only see the legacy UI of the Articulate dashboard.

Tips to get started

  • Start simple. Pick a topic you know well and generate a short example.
  • Level up. Take the AI's draft as a starting point, then make it your own. Rewrite, rearrange, and add anything that's missing.
  • Challenge mode. Begin with a real-world problem your learners face. Choose the format that fits best, then customize every part to match your goal. Bonus: if you've got the time, run that same content through all four formats. Some won't be the right fit but that's the point. Seeing where a format strains tells you as much as seeing where it lands.
