Sandra's Guide to Handling Disruptive Training Participants

Here's a favorite "train-the-trainer" topic for instructor-led training. One of my mentors, Kevin K., taught me a lot about handling a room of adult learners, and this demo features some insights from him. I created a training leader (Sandra) and six different disruptive learners. The animation is done in Animaker. Have a good week!

    Jodi, this is wonderful! Not only in how the characters promote engagement with the content, but also due to the usefulness of tips provided. I hope you don't mind, but I forwarded your project on to the instructors/trainers at my workplace (I credited you, of course).

    Jodi, this is great and I'd like to share it with our trainers, if that's okay. Obviously, I'll credit you.

    Full of good tips. I like the consistency between the interactions in each section. It means you know what to do each time.

    It passes very quickly but on one of the opening slides, there is a 'g' missing from 'challenging'.

      Hi Tracy, It's easy to learn and I like that you can customize the characters appearance but I find myself using the same ones over and over again. They have some cool white boarding features I would use more if they had more diverse characters. One thing I just saw is that they are re-launching the service/site and there is a demo/launch on Wednesday, 8/28 at 9am PST if you are interested. Here's a link: https://www.animaker.com/reinvent

      I should really go deeper into what this tool can do. I am still trying to get this animated hippo to walk across the screen, stop, turn and talk. For some reason I can't figure out the commands. :)
