Showing Interactive Comparisons in E-Learning #500 🎉

Hey everyone—Challenge 500. Can you believe it?

You know, when we kicked off the challenges 13 years ago, the idea was simple: give folks a way to practice, experiment, and see what they could do with the tools they had.

And back then, it was all Studio ’09 and PowerPoint. Storyline and Rise weren’t even on the scene yet. Since then, the tools have come a long way. And honestly, so has the creativity in these challenges.

What started as a simple weekly prompt turned into something way bigger than we imagined. And what’s kept these challenges going, week after week, is you.

So thanks for everything you share and for helping make this the number one e-learning community.

🚀 A New Submission Process

To celebrate this milestone, we added an easier way to submit your examples. Instead of posting in the challenge comments, you'll post directly to the recap page.

Now when you submit an example, it immediately shows up in the recap and gets its own page. You can add as much (or as little) context as you want. And the best part? People can comment and connect with your post right there.

Folks, I'm really excited about this new process and not just because it makes my life easier (it does) but because it streamlines everything for you, too.

📝 Tips for Submitting Your Challenge

Here are a few quick ways to make the most of your examples:

• Give it a great title: This is the first thing people see next to your thumbnail, so make it clear and engaging.
• Add a screenshot: This becomes your thumbnail in the recap page.
• Share your process (if you want): Learned something cool? Faced a challenge? Tell us a little about how you built your example.
• Link to your blog: Include a link to your blog post or LinkedIn profile so other users can connect with you.
• Share it on social: Post your entry on LinkedIn with the hashtag #ElearningChallenge and tag me @DavidAnderson and I’ll help promote it.
• Jump into the comments: Each post has a comment section where you can ask questions, share feedback, or connect with others. It’s a simple way to stay engaged with the community.

🏆 Challenge of the Week

For this week’s challenge, we’re throwing it back to where it all began: interactive comparisons.

Since this was actually the very first challenge we ever did, it felt like the perfect way to celebrate how far we’ve come. Now, that first challenge was all about comparing aircraft sizes. But this time, you can take it in any direction you want.
