Math Practice Challenge
Demo: https://bit.ly/3w2MkaS
Download: https://bit.ly/3w8QUoe
This demo is a tribute to my 4th grade teacher Mr. Krennek who had us play a game called "Around the World". It was a flashcard game where two kids would be shown a flashcard--whoever got the correct answer first would continue on to the the next kid. The goal was to be faster than all the other kids with the right answer. If you made it through the whole class you made it "Around the World" and were given a prize--which was your choice of paperback book. Maybe this is too competitive for today's classroom. :)
One new thing I tried in this challenge was using a timed quiz with the timer in the player...kind of a cool feature. Have fun!

- NeleSegers4 years agoCommunity MemberReally nice! Love the idea of a timed quiz. Will need to have a look at how you did this. Also the animation on the flash cards is really nice. That's another thing I still have to learn how to do.
The ticking clock didn't miss it's effect to put pressure on the exercice.
I just didn't pay attention in the beginning at the x or / sign, so I ended up multiplying 9 * 81, thinking that is more challenge then I got in 4th grade :-) - Samuel4 years agoCommunity MemberFun practice :) One thing this demo has proven well is that my math skill is rusty. I did get better but thought I’d post my 2nd try. Great one, teacher!
- BrendaBarley-Ka4 years agoCommunity MemberSo fun! The sound effects added to the sense of urgency.
- JodiSansone4 years agoCommunity MemberThe high score on the flash cards was 16--but it was a mystery person who entered the score. :) "XX" scored 16 correct answers in one minute. Well done! Don't be so shy! :)
- JessieBernal-f84 years agoCommunity MemberSorry, I accidently reported you.
I love the design of this! Great job!- DanGladstone4 years agoCommunity MemberHi Jessie,
Are you talking about my entry?
Out of curiosity, can you be specific about what you liked about it? That would be helpful.
Thanks,
-Dan
