Good point, Robbie. Another freelancer just asked me if I'd ever been asked to do any demos or work on spec. I can't imagine why I'd agree to solve someone's problem and give away my ideas for free, but apparently there are people who aren't afraid to ask.
+1 Jackie - I've given some IP away for free, but I always limit it, because I'm not giving away the farm!
