Hello!
This week, I've customised the player background colour and font and used Javascript to create a typewriter-themed template.

Most of my projects are bespoke, so I'm pretty rubbish at themes. I mainly use this feature to save 'chromeless' player settings and mobile layouts. But as it's now possible to run Javascript in Preview, I see more opportunities to embed code in themes and templates.

I resisted the urge to add a bottle of Wild Turkey next to the typewriter - in tribute to Hunter S. Thompson - so this template is safe for work. 😄 - DavidAnderson7 months agoStaffOoh the download will really help in this example. Thanks for including it.
Themes are funny. I've seen some designers lose production time by trying to get the design themes locked down too early in the process. This is a subjective area, but the basics should help (almost) everyone work a little more efficiently.- Jonathan_Hill7 months agoSuper HeroTotally agree, David, even if I'm not very good at practicing what we're preaching this week.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.- DavidAnderson7 months agoStaffIt's good for beginners to see that the pros like you use their own workflows and don't always leverage all the features. But hopefully, users who have never looked into design themes will come away with some ideas for using them going forward.

- JodiSansone7 months agoCommunity MemberThank you for the source file. I look forward to checking it out.
- ThierryEMMANUEL7 months agoCommunity MemberStill plenty to admire and study in your demo, Jonathan. I agree with you: even though I don't use a lot of code, being able to to run Javascript in Preview is immensely useful and time-saving.
- ThierryEMMANUEL7 months agoCommunity MemberI dared to use the JS code from your demo, Jonathan (at the bottom of this page). I'll certainly use it in a more serious way next time.
