I started working on this Skeuomorphic abacus last week and have updated it with hints and tips based on how you do on your practice exercises.

I know how to use an abacus so I do not have a problem doing the practice. But It still took me a while to figure out how to submit it when I finish the counting. I think someone who has never used an abacus might need more hints to be able to do the practice and learn from the hints. But overall, I am still impressed by the interaction you made.

- JodiSansone3 years agoCommunity MemberHi Ron. I agree with Joanne's comment--very impressive interaction with a lot of moving parts. But I didn't really know what I was doing. I added up my numbers on paper and then moved the beads around until my answer was correct. It took me awhile to observe how the top and bottom beads work together. I'll go back to your write up to learn more about it. This must have taken a lot of time to build!
