I like Kimberly's scroll panel idea. I think I'm going to try that unless something else catches my attention. Interestingly, I was reading the WSJ yesterday and they had this interesting article about how cargo shipping containers end up in the ocean. They had a cool scroll panel in it and I was wondering how I could do something like that. Here's the link: https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-shipping-containers-end-up-in-the-ocean-11612369916?mod=trending_now_news_1 Maybe I'll be able to figure it out.

That's a good one to deconstruct, Jodi. I think you can either go with a scrolling panel or slider for that effect.
- JodiSansone4 years agoCommunity MemberI think I figured out how to create this effect. It came to me between the alarm going off this morning and the end of my first snooze. It's a vertical slider that acts like a scroll panel--lots of points in it so it transitions smoothly (0-500). One set of triggers moves the timeline labels, using fly in and fly out animations. Another set transitions the visuals. I may have time later this week to try it. I could see doing it in a scroll panel as well with two different very long visuals, but the slider makes more sense to me because I can trigger it.
