Year of the Rat with Scroll Panel
Demo: https://go.aws/2SR1G0e
Every year at the end of January I do a Lunar New Year demo. I wanted to find a new way to allow users to scroll through 70+ years to find their birth year. Last year (Year of the Pig) I used a text variable, but I didn't like how the keyboard would pop up on a mobile device to type in the birth year, so for 2020 I created a scroll panel with buttons to find your year. If anyone has another idea how to do this please let me know and I'll try it next year for Year of the Ox. :) This is also cross posted in #263 because I'm not sick of Classic Blue and the Snorkel/Desert Twilight palettes yet. I was born in Year of the Rat, so this is my year! Let's all hope for a better April-December 2020.

Thank you for being interested enough to ask. Here's a version in 360 Review. Does this work for you?
- DavidAnderson5 years agoStaffCool example to show how interactive objects can be used in scrolling panels. And I agree, the Classic Blue is a keeper.
- JodiSansone5 years agoCommunity MemberYep, this year's palette has some staying power, I think. I was fatigued with Ultra Violet and Living Coral after a couple months. I have another idea for a scroll panel that I'll work on--I feel like doing something normal and productive. Heading out this weekend for some Sedona-style "social distancing" on the red rocks.
- DavidAnderson5 years agoStaffWhat's the weather like up there? It's non-stop rain here in Phoenix.
- RemaMerrick-aa05 years agoCommunity MemberJodi - I love the graphics and the background music. Your submissions are always beautifully designed and creative. Well packaged submission.
- Jonathan_Hill5 years agoSuper HeroJust to add to the chorus of approval here, this is beautifully done. I've tinkered with using scrolling panels to mask off areas of a slide before, but not so effectively as this. Well done.
- JustineSwain-3f5 years agoCommunity MemberWhat a cool module... I had fun finding my year with your scroll panel, and then learning about my animal.
I did have a few hiccups with navigation though, but I was viewing on my android tablet, so it may just be that
I had never thought of putting buttons in a scroll panel, so I learnt more than my animal... thank you - RichardMulcahy5 years agoCommunity MemberVery well done!
- JanetCC5 years agoCommunity MemberIt looks like I won't have a very good year as a 'snake!' But I loved this - professional and fun! The music was perfect.
