Creating presenter-led learning has always involved a tradeoff. A human guide can make training more engaging and approachable, but recording, editing, and updating video takes time that many teams don't have.

Think of AI Avatars as a new storytelling tool. It helps you add a consistent human presence to your learning experiences without the production overhead of traditional video.

Built into Articulate 360 as one of Nova's advanced capabilities, AI Avatars make it easier to introduce topics, explain complex ideas, and reinforce key takeaways.

AI Avatars have been awesome for my team and me. So much so, it has brought a new line of creative joy to the workload.

When to use AI Avatars

Add a human presence to your learning

Add a consistent presenter to welcome learners, explain complex ideas, and reinforce key takeaways. AI Avatars make it easy to bring a human guide into your learning experience without scheduling recording sessions or managing video production.

Keep video current without starting over

When your content changes, update the script and regenerate your presenter instead of re-recording and re-editing an entire video. It's a faster way to keep training aligned with changing products, processes, and policies.

Create consistently across courses

Reuse presenters, voices, and branding across learning experiences to create a more consistent look and feel. Whether you're building one course or many, AI Avatars helps maintain a familiar experience without starting over each time.

Get started with AI Avatars

Create your character

Choose a presenter from the built-in library, customize one to match your brand, or create your own. Once you've found the right fit, you can reuse that presenter across multiple learning experiences.

đź’ˇ Tip: The more specific your character description, the better your results. Include details like role, appearance, clothing, or environment to help guide generation.

Add your voiceover

Write your script—or use integrated AI to help draft one—then pair it with a voice that fits your content.

đź’ˇ Tip: AI Avatars work best when each video focuses on one idea. Breaking longer topics into shorter segments makes them easier to update and easier for learners to follow.

Generate and update

Generate your presenter-led video directly in Articulate 360. When your content changes, update the script and regenerate the video instead of scheduling another recording session.

💡 Tip: Short presenter videos—under two minutes—tend to produce the best results and work especially well for introductions, transitions, and key takeaways.
