One question that keeps coming up in E-Learning Heroes is: How do you use AI without compromising the quality of your learning experiences?
AI has shifted the balance from production towards standards and tooling. Less time building each individual thing, more time building the thing that makes each individual thing good by default.
That shift is where Nova can help. It takes on production-heavy work, so your expertise can go further without giving up control.
As part of the new Articulate 360 experience, Nova brings AI directly into the workflows where training gets created.
What makes Nova different
Articulate's AI has increased my productivity. I no longer have to switch apps to do many of the things now available within the Articulate suite.
Nova isn't a separate product or another place to work. It's the AI agent behind a specific set of advanced capabilities, and you'll encounter it right where you're already creating.
Most AI tools are designed for general-purpose work. Nova is built around learning science and instructional design principles, helping you create learning experiences, not just generate content. That means it supports principles instructional designers use every day, like choosing the right format, reinforcing key concepts, and helping people apply what they've learned.
Nova-powered actions use credits. We'll break down what that means below.
What you can do with Nova
In Articulate 360 AI
Nova powers two advanced capabilities: AI Avatars and multi-format translation.
This feels like one of those features that could genuinely change how we think about building eLearning.
Add a human presence and keep video current
Keeping video training up to date often means coordinating recordings, presenters, and edits every time something changes. AI Avatars let you add a consistent, customizable presenter without scheduling a recording session. When content changes, update the script and regenerate the video instead of starting over.
Keep training consistent across languages
Supporting learners in multiple languages can quickly become challenging when every update must be recreated across versions. Multi-format translation automatically translates training into 80+ languages without exporting files or duplicating content. Update once and keep the experience consistent across all languages.
In Frontline
Frontline runs on Nova, including AI Avatars, translation, and kit generation.
Nova guides you through the process, starting with what your team needs to know, then helping you define the goal, key details, and context before anything gets generated. Those decisions become the foundation for what Nova creates.
From there, Nova generates a multi-format kit: a complete training package built around a single goal. Nova recommends the formats that best support that goal, which can include a guide, training deck, interactive video, quick reference, or scenario.
A kit isn't a one-and-done deliverable. The resources stay connected as your training evolves, so you can keep them current and track what's being opened, understood, and acted on.
Understanding Nova and credits
Nova-powered workflows use credits. In Articulate 360 AI, that includes AI Avatars and multi-format translation. Frontline runs on Nova, with credits fueling workflows like kit generation, AI Avatars, and translation. Core AI capabilities like image generation, instant convert, AI audio, and more are included with every Articulate 360 seat.
The new platform is live today. Every eligible Articulate 360 account has 20,000 credits per seat (up to 100,000 per subscription) to explore advanced capabilities like AI Avatars and multi-format translation. Learn how to use credits where they add the most value.
