Rise 360: Media Company Workplace Harassment Course

Here's a compliance course I created for a fictional media conglomerate known as Pixomedia. This course focuses on Pixomedia's workplace discrimination and harassment policies and procedures.

This project uses a mix of block types including text, images, accordion interactions, step interactions, card sorting, knowledge checks, and a quiz. Because this is a compliance course, I restricted the navigation so learners need to complete topics in lesson order, and I've used the continue block to make sure learners complete all the critical activities in each lesson before moving on. You can learn more about controlling course navigation in this article, Rise 360: Control Learner Navigation and more about using the continue block in this article, How to Manage Learner Progress with the Continue Block in Rise 360.

    Hi there,

Is there a way of recording who has completed these types of courses (and their scores) using the web element or does it have to go through an LMS?

    Thanks

Hi Tina. Rise allows you to output for web, LMS, or PDF. To track and report on scores, progress, or percent completed, ideally you'd need an LMS. There are some workarounds in the community for using embedded web forms (Google spreadsheets, jotforms, etc.) but it would depend on your environment and the type of information you're trying to capture. This discussion has some links that may be of help to you if you want to investigate further: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/rise/tracking-completion-outside-of-lms

    Not a bad example!

These regulation and compliance topics can be quite dry so the challenge is to make them engaging without death by interactivity overkill.
  • Hi Trina.

This is a great course and example of how we can use Rise features to lock navigation for compliance topics :) Are you able to share the source at all?

    Many thanks,

    Ellen

I really liked the drag and drop exercise with the cards. Is that something new in Rise?

Hey Shannon. Glad you liked this example. And no, the sorting interaction has been in Rise from the beginning, but I can see why it would be easily overlooked with all of the other goodies in Rise. You'll find it under the Interactions menu in the Block Library.
