Storyline 360: Motion Graphics Timeline

In this download, I used drawing shapes and animations to put my own motion graphics spin on a traditional timeline. Built on a single slide, this simple project uses layers and timeline triggers to lead the viewer through a quick, animated tour of key events spanning four decades of history.

View this project in action (note: there's audio in the demo!)

This project is easy to customize with your own event content and color scheme—and there's ample white space to add images or graphics of your own.

Note: The demo uses free music from Bensound.com and a free mouse click sound effect from soundbible.com, but those audio files aren't included in the .story download. This project also uses the free Google fonts Righteous and Oswald

This download will work for folks using Storyline 360, the continuously updated version of Storyline included in Articulate 360. Want to try it out? Get a free 30-day trial of Articulate 360 right here.

HI Diana. Yes! You can publish Storyline interactions to Review 360 and then insert them as a Storyline block in Rise 360. You'll find the Storyline block type under the "Interactive" blocks menu. Here's a little animated gif to show you where to find it: https://cl.ly/776dd03d6c0d
  • I was able to do it as a single slide and add the audio in there. I did also learn to just crop the audio and have it throughout multiple slides. I'll try doing the slide master next! Thank you for your help!
  • Hi Trina! This is great, thank you for sharing! How did you get the audio to play throughout the project? Did you just a short audio clip to loop to each slide or is there a way to add one clip to play throughout? I have seen some blogs that say to add HTML code at the end of the notes but that did not work for me.

Hi Amy. Since this project lives on a single slide, I just inserted audio on the base layer of the slide so it would play throughout as the layers are revealed with timeline triggers. Hope this explanation helps!
