I think you’re right that this may be related to the specific setup. I’m not able to reproduce the issue with a standard button using VoiceOver on iPhone. A regular button activates as expected with a double-tap.
Needing three taps isn’t typical behavior, so it's likely a feature of how the button was built rather than a VoiceOver limitation.
A few things to check:
- Make sure it’s an actual Button object, not a shape with a trigger added to it.
- Confirm it isn’t grouped with other objects.
- Check for any overlapping or invisible objects on the slide or layer.
- Review the triggers. If the button changes state before navigating, the first activation may only change the state, and the second performs the action.
- Try recreating it on a new slide using a simple button with just one “Jump to slide” trigger to compare behavior.
If you can share how the button is set up (states and triggers), that would help narrow it down further.
