I’d first isolate the button before changing the course.
Try a simple Storyline button on a blank slide with one basic trigger, then compare its VoiceOver behavior with the original. Also check for grouped or overlapping objects, states, triggers, and Focus Order.
I’d record the iPhone/iOS, browser, and Storyline versions too. That makes it easier to determine whether the behavior comes from the button setup or the testing environment.
The important part is to test the published course on the actual device, not just Storyline Preview.
