Can Studio 360 courses meet WCAG 2.1 AA
Hi,
I think the answer is no, but I'd like confirmation that Studio courses won't meet WCAG 2.1 AA since the keyboard shortcuts are a single character. I'm unaware of workarounds. 2.1.4 Character Key Shortcuts (A). Am I understanding that correctly?
Also, it's my understanding that although it is possible to navigate Studio courses with a screen reader, it isn't an ideal experience for learners with screen readers since Studio courses have different keyboard shortcuts. Is there a WCAG criteria that is related to that?
The last I checked Studio's conformance report, it only addressed WCAG 2.0.
Thanks in advance. If Articulate support could also confirm this, that would be great.
Hi LesleyMizer!
You are correct. Studio 360 documentation is for WCAG 2.0. Since we froze feature development for Studio 360 in December 2020, this also includes accessibility maturity.
You should create your accessible courses using Rise 360 or Storyline 360, which will allow you to meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
