Well, I'm late to the party! But I'm finally free and able to work with you all! Anyway, I'm in Kalamazoo, Michigan and I work at Charles River Laboratories. My day-to-day encompasses quite a few things. I'm mainly instructional designer, but I also play LMS admin, trainer for leadership programs, project manager, and I wear many other hats.
I joined the cohort because I'm always looking to learn. New tech, new designs, whatever it may be. I'm hopeful to keep growing my skills by using AI to help streamline some of my creation processes.
Oh, and this is Bentley, our 6 y/o Great Pyrenees. He's fluffy.

Hello, Team!
I'm Steph, and I work at Kaiser Permanente's RVMC (Regional Virtual Medical Center) in Southern California as an instructional designer (technical title is Design and Documentation Specialist III, though).
I joined this cohort to learn more about AI capabilities within Articulate, in the hopes that it may be able to help expedite the creation of learning opportunities for our doctors and nursing staff.
I have a pair of beautiful black lab/pit bull mixes: Josefina (Jo or Joey, usually) and Samantha (usually Sam or Sammy). :)

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m Marleigh, based in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. I’m an ATD-certified eLearning Instructional Designer with the Commonwealth. On a typical day, you’ll find me building web-based trainings and virtual instructor-led sessions, juggling Rise and Storyline, and trying to turn “mandatory training” into something people actually want to click through (a bold mission, I know 😄).
I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort because I’m hoping to sharpen my skills, learn smarter ways to use AI for design and development, and borrow 😉😉great ideas from all of you.
🦴🦴 I’ve got an American Akita named Ace who serves as my full-time quality assurance supervisor. His main qualifications include constantly shedding an incredible amount of hair all over the work area and demanding breaks at highly inconvenient moments 🐾
Excited to be here and learn with everyone!
Hey Marleigh! I'd love to know what sort of techniques you reach for to make mandatory trainings more interesting.
Ace is so cute!! My cats also mostly offer QA in the form of shedding ridiculous amount of hair 😂

Hello! My name is Jody Williams. I am an Instructional Designer from north Georgia where I live on an old family farm. We raise Boer goats and honeybees. I've been an Instructional Designer for the almost 10 years and currently work as an ID with Brightspeed. I look forward to learning more about Articulate!

Hello everyone! I am an Instructional Designer and mostly work for Storyline. As I work with clients all over the world, most of my projects are translated into various languages. The biggest challenges I face occurs after importing the translated file. Sometimes, translators change the XML tags which makes the file unusable.
In this cohort session , I am looking forward to learn using AI for localization to address the translation issues.
Apart from that there many new Smart AI features have been added to Rise and Storyline to build courses faster and effectively.
Unfortunately, I don't have any pet nowadays so not posting any picture. But I love dogs and loving all the pictures posted here. - IdeaFactoryCommunity Member
Hi everyone! I’m Kandiace, currently based between Indiana and Germany depending on the season. I work at Vituity, where I focus on learning strategy, systems, and making complex things easier for people to actually use. My title matters less than the day-to-day: solving messy problems, improving learning experiences, translating ideas into action, and helping teams move from “this is confusing” to “this actually works.” A surprising amount of my work involves asking better questions before building anything.
I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort because AI feels more like a literacy shift. I want to sharpen practical skills, learn smarter workflows, and better understand how to use AI as a true thinking partner instead of just a faster search engine. I’m especially interested in systems, creativity, productivity, and how AI can reduce friction without reducing humanity.
Bonus pet intro: I don’t currently have a pet living with me full-time, but I do a fair amount of pet sitting. Which means I get the emotional benefits of dogs without the long-term negotiations over furniture ownership. Probably the greatest modern compromise. 🐶

Hi Kandiace, welcome to the cohort! I like your idea of AI feeling like a literacy shift, that's a good way to describe it. I have definitely found the AI assistant is a great thinking partner and I'm sure you will too! I look forward to seeing your thoughts next week. 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m Claudia, based in Bucharest, Romania. I work as an eLearning designer at a tech company, designing and managing digital learning programs, mostly eLearning courses and interactive components, to help our teams learn complex topics in a clear, engaging way.
I joined this AI Assistant Certification Cohort to get much better at using AI as a true learning design partner, especially for drafting content, generating interactive ideas, and improving workflows for our learners.
I live with Pickle, who is either meowing for attention or fast asleep with zero in-between. I’m attaching a photo of him so you can “meet” him too.

Hello! My name is Carrianne, and I'm a Design & Delivery Consultant V (instructional designer) for Kaiser Permanente. I help build people development digital learning experiences (eLearning, video, SharePoint sites) for our CA Sales & Account Management team. I'm happily located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
What I most love about instructional design is that I'm always learning something new, whether about a new product or a new software feature. I remember taking a class on the vintage version of Storyline almost two decades ago, so it's incredible to see new and exciting features launched on a regular basis. I have been using Articulate AI features in both Storyline and Rise, but I have a feeling that I'm not taking advantage of everything it has to offer. I'm excited to participate.
Here's a picture of our cat, Tatsu. She pretends not to know her name most of the time, but she sure does know the word for treat.

Hi Carrianne, welcome to the cohort! What a sweet furbaby! I agree, I'm always learning something new--it's one of my favorite things about this field! I think over these next couple weeks you'll get a better grasp of what the AI assistance can fully do; I know I did!

Thank you, Mel! I'm looking forward to it!

Hello Everyone!
My name is Jackie and I am located at Sacramento, CA. I currently work at California Civil Rights Department (CRD) as an Instructional Designer and LMS Administrator (Cornerstone).
Day-to-day: I create, design, and develop courses mainly internally for our investigators who handles cases regarding their civil rights. An example course is How to De-escalate via In-person and Virtually. We are fairly a new team of 4-5 for the entire department but I love my team and I can't ask for a better department. One of the greatest things about being an ID at this department is learning what SMEs do and how they make a difference within our department and statewide.
Why did I joined: I want to learn more about AI and how it can help me create courses. I hope to learn from others on how they utilize AI in their courses and/or day-to-day work. One of the greatest ways is to learn from others so I am excited to see what we all can bring together!
Bonus: no pets, but I do have plant babies that are near death due to my lack of care and sunlight. Pray for them 🌱
