Week 1 Welcome & Introductions

Hello Everyone! A little late getting started, but I'm so happy to be here, I'm Amber! 

I am located near Denver, Colorado, and I am lucky to work from home as a Process Improvement Consultant IV, where most of my work is being super creative in solving requests for assistance in refreshing to new technology, streamlining current and new processes, solving for reporting needs and building content for learning about all those things plus supporting our learning and development team. 

I joined this cohort to learn about and leverage the new AI Assistant as I am about to jump into gamifying our onboarding process and would really like it to be super interactive, engaging, professional and fun. 

This is my best buddy, Poncho, who we adopted last August. He just had his first birthday and is the sweetest. A terrier pit-bull mix that is goofy, loving, cuddly, calm, and an emotional support companion to my son.

My name is Kaci Roper, and I’m a Senior Learning Experience Designer at OneTrust from Greenville, SC. 

I design and build engaging eLearning experiences that help customers and partners use our products successfully. My work includes collaborating with subject‑matter experts, designing learning journeys, and creating interactive content like videos, scenarios, and modules then refining courses based on feedback and performance data.

I joined this cohort to build my skills in using AI more effectively. AI is widely used at OneTrust, and our team builds courses in Articulate Rise. I’m especially interested in leveraging AI to create faster, more effective eLearning experiences that better support our learners.

Hi all sorry I'm a little late to the intros! I'm Sefali and I am a Project Manager at Kaiser Permanente in the Northern California region. I work on training initiatives, process improvement, and other special projects. 

I was just introduced to Articulate this year and am interested in leveraging the program as much as I can. Looking forward to learning more about the AI features!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. My name is Paul, and I'm a Principal Engineer and AI Specialist. I'm also a proud dog dad to two fur babies, a Great Pyrenees and a Terrier-Chihuahua mix (so I've got both a big dog and a little dog keeping life interesting😊).

I joined this cohort to deepen my understanding of Articulate's AI capabilities and explore new ways to improve and enhance our course development workflows.

Hello! My name is Cheryl Strimple, and I am located in Fort Worth, TX. I work as an Instructional Designer for AssistRx. I joined the cohort because I recently used the AI Assistant to develop a company-wide training module and want to better understand and mine AI Assistant's capabilities. I work from home with Brighton, my Australian Shepherd, under my desk! 

Hi Susan! Thanks for the warm welcome! What I like best about designing with Articulate...hmmm...well, as you might imagine, it's changed over the years - but, one over-arching theme that has kept me loving to design with Articulate - is how you guys have always focused on the customer experience and worked backward from the technology!  Whether in the old days converting ppt files to lessons - to now, with Articulate AI - Instructional Design principles have always been guiding principles embedded in the tool - that, along with an always easy-to-use UI - I love that most about Artiulate. Whether a fast micro lesson in Rise or a branching course in Storyline - you guys continue to set the standard!

I'm Mark Brady, located in Melbourne, Australia. I'm the Learning Design Manager for a large law firm. I look after digital learning and manage our LMS. A focus for joining the AI Assistant Certification Program is to upskill myself in all things AI for learning design and to be the SME for my team and help their journey in this area. I look forward to connecting with you during the program and after. 

Hi everyone, I’m Becky from Devon, UK. I work at South Devon College as a Digital Learning Technologist. Only just getting around to this due to the bank holiday in the UK and been enjoying the time off in my home town at our famous Pirate festival!

I support staff with Moodle, help build and improve course content, and create interactive learning resources using tools like Articulate.

I joined this cohort to learn how AI can support my work and improve the way I design content, and to get more confident using it in a practical way.

Good morning everyone! I am Annelies based in Switzerland.  I am a Learning Project Manager since 7+ years at Roche Diagnostics.  The first years I developped training for our commercial roles and now I moved into the Service organisation. 

At home we have 2 dogs, 2 rabbits and a couple of chickens. (unfortunately I dont have a group picture available... imagine that set-up 🤣)

Looking forward to understand more about the new features in Articulate.

Hi everyone! I'm Cindy, based in Vancouver, BC. I work as a Training & Support specialist at a company called Henry Schein One, where we support dental schools with a specialized academic software platform. My day-to-day is pretty varied, think client onboarding, go-lives, building out training materials, and a lot of documentation work. Basically, I'm the person making sure people actually know how to use the tool before they go live with it (and sometimes after, when things get interesting 😅).

I joined this cohort because AI is showing up everywhere in my work, from how I document processes to how I think about building training content, and I want to actually understand it well enough to use it intentionally, not just stumble into it. Hoping to walk away with a clearer framework and some practical tools I can bring back to my team.

As for pets, no furry roommates yet, but not for lack of trying! My husband has been campaigning hard for a dog, and I've actually caved, we're on a waiting list for a Portuguese Water Dog. If anyone has one or has experience with the breed, please send tips my way! I want to know what we're actually getting into 😄
