🤩 This is your chance to show off your work!

  1. Copy the Quick Share link to the AI Course Draft you created in the Week 2 Hands On Challenge and paste it in a reply to this discussion.
  2. Below your Quick Share link, answer these three questions:
    1. Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
    2. Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
    3. What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?

After you post, take a few minutes to look at your peers’ courses and reply to at least one other post. You might:

  • Share what you liked about their course structure or content
  • Call out an effective use of AI Assistant
  • Offer one suggestion to make the course even stronger

This is your opportunity to showcase your work and learn from how others are using AI Assistant in their own designs!

  • Hi, everyone! Here's my course:
    https://share.articulate.com/vIOVa-JAljACB7Q0jbzLg

Three changes I made to the course draft to improve learner engagement:

    1. Added a conversation with audio narration for more variety and real-life feel.
    2. Added AI images to support course topics.
    3. Shortened the verbiage throughout to reduce reading fatigue.

The AI feature most valuable to my workflow was quiz creation. Time saved with AI writing answer-based remediation by response is incredible. Another one is using the custom style feature when creating images.

The most common challenge I had was getting the AI to consistently update font colors for the first few words within lists.

I can't wait to put what I learned into use in my current course development and share with our other designers.

ChristineGwozdz thanks for sharing your course. I really loved the block with the mental health conversations what a great use of images and AI audio to bring the contepts to life!

  • Hi everyone, here is my submission:

Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!

      • I added interaction instructions throughout the course (e.g., prompting learners to expand sections, select tabs, flip cards, etc.) to guide learners through the content and provide technical direction for learners who may be unfamiliar with Rise's interactive blocks.
      • I added images throughout the course to complement the text, break up content-heavy sections, and enhance learner engagement.
      • I restructured long text blocks into shorter sections/chunks, to reduce cognitive load and improve readability.

Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?

      • AI Convert and Edit with AI were standout AI features for me. Both significantly reduced the time spent refining and enhancing the AI-generated content.

What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?

      • I had difficulty generating AI images that consistently aligned with the custom style and prompts.

Share 3 changes you made to the Rise AI Course Draft to improve learner engagement. Why did you make those changes to your project? Be specific!
I changed the theme colour, added knowledge checks and added ai generated images.

Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why? Did anything about it surprise you?
Rapid Content Structuring and Reorganization was the most valuable feature. When I received the three source documents (PDF, PPTX, DOCX), the AI instantly analysed all the content, identified natural groupings, and proposed a logical three-lesson structure that built progressively from foundations (workplace happiness) to application (finding purpose) to leadership responsibility (mental health support).

What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
The source documents had varying tones—the PDF was formal, the PPTX was casual, the DOCX was instructional. The AI's first draft mixed these tones within single paragraphs. I had to request a consistent "professional but approachable" voice throughout and provide examples of what that sounded like.

    3 changes I made:

    1. Used AI to create reflective question for learner to consider at the end of each lesson based on the lesson's concepts.
    2. Used AI to create a knowledge check before the end of each lesson based on the key concepts of the lesson.
    3. Used AI to convert text to flip cards, process blocks, and sorting blocks to better break up the content and engage learners.

AI feature most valuable in my workflow:

    1. The Create AI Image Prompt was by far the most helpful feature. The images align with each other and my theme. I didn't have to rack my brain thinking of an image concept. I was surprised how consistent the images were.

What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?

    1. Text in AI images was sometimes difficult to prompt out.
    2. When using AI to edit text, I found myself wanting to click in the AI text box to refine. Since you can't do that, I would accidentally click out of the whole AI text editor and have to start over.
    3. Some of the knowledge checks did not follow my directions and left out key details.

Changes: Lots of AI text changes, added a few images and AI audio, added questions with choice specific feedback.

MVP AI: Text changes using "Edit with AI", though image gen is runner up

Challenge: Sometimes the AI would take several evolutions of a prompt to do something that seems simple, but I think this is common for AI use.

jessicafry I fully understand your challenge with wrestling with AI to do something that should be simple. That's where I still get a little frustrated with the AI assistant at times for certain things because it can't "learn" and be trained the same way some other AI programs can.

  • Does anyone know if you can add the instructions from the Magic Text Import to a Magic Lesson Import and it builds in those block formats? Like could I create a scenario using the templates provided in Magic Text Import and put it as part of the Magic Lesson and it would recognize that template and build it? Thanks!

  • Here is my course edition:

I made a few updates to improve engagement. First, I chunked content into smaller sections instead of large blocks so it’s easier to read and retain. I also added custom AI-generated images to better match the content and make it feel less generic. Finally, I streamlined everything into a more microlearning style, focusing on key takeaways and removing extra ā€œnice-to-knowā€ details.

The most valuable AI feature for me was content structuring (especially grouping and chunking) it saved time and made the course more learner-friendly. I was also surprised by how impactful the AI image prompts were they really elevated the overall look and feel.

One challenge I ran into was getting AI to match my exact vision right away. I often had to refine my prompts a few times to get the structure and tone just right.

  • AlyssaGomez is there a way to move content between/across Rise pages? So you don't have to create the same web part multiple times - when you need the same disclaimer on each Rise page, for example.
Also, can you move Rise pages from your "All Content" view to the Team or Personal folders?  I have content that is published and some that isn't.  I need these sorted!!  Please let me know.  THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!
