Quick share: https://share.articulate.com/pjAVauZ_H85iiqUkseypq
3 changes I made:
- Converted block content that opened with a hook strategy
- Used custom prompt to generate different tone options for paragraph content
- Created a custom block that included AI audio
Valuable AI Feature or Capability
- AI generated Images and AI audio
- AI generated knowledge check questions and Quiz generation
- Initial outline draft of a course based on the source material that is uploaded
Challenges
- Sometimes AI image creation generated misspelled text, and even when specified in the prompt to not generate any text, text would still appear.

https://share.articulate.com/LwoZ6Y63xK1E7jDJMNe4H - My answers to the three prompt questions:
- Share 3 changes you made (I made a lot š, but here are 3)
- I took the AI course generated intro paragraph, selected the text and chose Edit with AI. I gave it this prompt: "Open with a hook strategy: question, brief story, surprising fact (only if verified), or scenario as intro paragraph before the original paragraph." I then copied the text and used it in a Custom Block with an AI generated image and Audio. I pasted the text into the new block and utilized the same text in the AI Audio to help me craft a script for the audio clip.
- Throughout the course, I edited the text with AI and adjusted the tone to "Friendly" and I love the built in bold key-terms prompt.
- I left the prepopulated flip card activity and utilized the text on the back of each card to create AI image prompts and then inserted/refined the prompt to generate images on the front of each card.
- Which AI feature or capability was most valuable - I struggle with the creativity to write scripts and image prompts. Utilizing the content text to generate scripts and AI image prompts was extremely helpful. I didn't even think to use content text as prompts. It definitely helps spark ideas!
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? - Since I struggle the most with image prompting, I felt that I was spending most of my time refining the prompt to get what I wanted. I got better as I did more, but I need more practice for sure.
- Share 3 changes you made (I made a lot š, but here are 3)
Hey RachelStoics256ā thanks for including your prompt here! It's so helpful to see what worked for others. You're not alone in the image prompting struggles, it's hard enough to describe to another person what your mind's eye is seeing, let alone an AI.
We have a few resources that can help with prompting, and a member just recently shared her teaching tool for helping with this issue.

I changed my flip cards to audio files of employee issues with their pictures made with AI and created a matching solution on how to respond to each one. Flip cards was bit too passive for me. I wanted it to be a bit more immersive and decision making.
I found the AI feature of creating scenario questions and the AI audio scripts pretty handy.
The AI video with voiceover still needs tweaking as it still looks a bit robotic. It didn't work the first time so i had to go back and redo it.

Changes & Challenges:
- I added many AI images. I played with a custom prompt to try and make professional vector graphics with a consistent theme. Many of the individual images felt usable on their own, but I couldn't get them to adopt consistent colors throughout my module. I would love if it listened when I said to use a certain hex code as the primary color. I was bummed that the resolution for AI images isn't high enough for full screen or cover images.
- I played with all the AI text modifications to see if I could improve the writing. The tone and summarization features worked quite well. Unfortunately, the formatting prompt to change a bolded words to another color didn't work. Please fix this feature! š It would save my team so much time when applying our brand colors. I wish we could apply it to an entire course instead of just individual blocks.
- I converted plain text to more engaging block types. This is a nice feature that gets us to where we want to go much faster. It takes us about 75% there and we can do the final tweaking, which is still helpful.
Most Valuable AI Features, IMO :
- AI TTS for Storyline hands-down makes this subscription worth it. The time we save on recording audio narration and syncing captions is immense.
- Rise's instant convert saves us time making our blocks more engaging.
- Text tools are helpful for changing tone or simplifying text.
AI Disclaimer [Proceed with Caution]:
- I personally feel like anyone who gets access to AI needs to solemnly swear to closely fact-check anything generated by AI before itās published, haha. It worries me that it will be used haphazardly, making our poor learners read through irrelevant slop. I still strongly believe that we need true instructional designers guiding these tools to identify whatās best for our learners.
Thanks for including me in your cohort. I appreciated the opportunity to dive deeper into these tools.

Well done, HeatherThomas-9ā! Your course was airy and unified in appearance. The consistent color scheme, images, and font choices were lovely.
I'm in complete agreement about solemnly swearing to closely fact-check AI output! It simply cannot be trusted exclusively for the important human work we do. However, using it as an "assistant" makes good sense when appropriately used and prompted.
I love using the talk-to-text feature, as well. I am sure the Articulate team will be working on a fix for the formatting feature that many of you were unable to implement.
Glad you joined the cohort! š

Hello everyone, Iād like to share my project with you. In answering the questions for this post, I tried to give it a visual style and content reminiscent of a video game (without actually gamifying it)ājust a bit of that vibe. I wanted to see how much we can explore different learning styles with AI.
Although Iāve already been working with this and other AIs, what I definitely value most is the diversity of voices, accents, and subtitles, as well as image generation (though we still canāt have a unique character or LoRa) and the ability to change the tone of the text.
Finally, while Articualteās AI is very well suited for simple prompts, I feel that when handling diverse topics it can lose its rhythm a bitāitās our job as instructional designers to maintain the rhythm and tone.
I hope you enjoy it, and I look forward to your comments.

The image generation was fantastic, carlostruji85ā! It created the mood from the start. The font and your image choices were outstanding! I, like you, struggled to get the AI images to use the correct spellings consistently. The fact that you added customized feedback to your knowledge checks is a great value-add. One caution that I notice with the AI-generated quiz is that about midway, it defaults to multiple-response questions with squares for the choices instead of radio buttons for single-response options. I have to proofread the output every time. I really enjoyed the game-themed course! š®

Some of the changes I made included: AI images using AI prompts, changed the cover photo, updated the colors/font, and added a matching activity at the end of the first lesson.
I loved playing around with the AI images, and the syncing text to audio feature will really save time in our course-building process.
The Tips and Tricks videos helped a lot - they were short and easy to follow.

Thank you for sharing, ChloeSeals-e2e5ā ! Which aspect of the AI Assistant do you see yourself using most in the future?

Hi Everyone,
This was a great project for me and to really experiment with the AI features. Here is my rise submission:
https://share.articulate.com/24JZUGhg09veHYimk6Mup
Which AI feature or capability was most valuable in your workflow, and why?
-
AI Image ā This was an interesting experience. My initial prompts didnāt generate what I was looking for, but after refining them, I achieved much better results. I initially expected the same prompt to consistently produce the same output, but quickly learned that wasnāt always the case. It often took several attempts to get the right image, which made for a great learning experience.
-
Instant Convert ā This feature is a dream! A huge time saver, and I absolutely love it. I plan to use it all the time.
-
AI Generate Audio ā I really appreciate this feature as well. Itās something weāll be using regularly, especially as we work to meet legal accessibility requirements across different levels.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
I found AI summary and quiz to be challenging to use. When I tried using it did not give the results I was looking for. I did not find it intuitive. Either I need to spend more time experimenting with these options or need to attend a training session on it.
I really enjoyed the cohort experience and in the breakout sessions - it was reassuring that I was with peers who have been experience similar challenges and learn new solutions. That was great fun!
Thanks,
Dianne

Hi! Here is my course: https://share.articulate.com/PKesN0dgjcdZVBJKUHldF
I focused on the first lesson and experimented a lot with image generation and AI audio. I also tried the new AI Video Avatar feature and was really impressed.
I found AI text generator especially helpful for coming up with examples and analogies that I, as someone without leadership experience, probably would not have thought of myself. Some experiences and thoughts
- I would really appreciate the option to upload a reference image when generating images. This would make it easier to keep the visual style and the people shown in the images consistent throughout the course.
- Overall, I would also love to see AI in Articulate gain more technical capabilities, for example changing the color of all objects in Storyline at once or updating all triggers in one go. These are the kinds of tasks that take a lot of time and, honestly, that I find really boring š
- I definitely need to improve my time management when using AI features. Especially with image generation, I currently lose a lot of time because I want to try everything out and perfect it. So many possibilities, so little time... š

This course is fabulous!
And wait! I didnt see the AI Video Avatar feature. 𤯠Please point me to it!
I like the audio setup too, with the green bubbles! Im curious to understand how you created that.
Well done!

Thank you for adding the AI video feature in your course. This is the first example that I've seen and I'm impressed. Great job!

Love the Anime style RaphaelSymonsā ! The AI avatar is a great hook to bring in your learner.
And I liked your angled transition design block. Which program did you use to create yours?
I really wish Articulate would provide a transition block like Mighty has so it's native. Helps to break up the cookie cutter block styles.

Share 3 changes I made:
- Added scenarios as custom blocks to bring the topic closer to the learner.
- Generated images to make the course more colorful and engaging.
- Added a short quiz at the end.
AI feature or capability was most valuable: Create a scenario, change the tone, etc. Being a non-native speaker it can boost our confidence, knowing we can significantly improve our writing with this help.
Challenges: I also had difficulty whit this prompt: "Change color of bold words to #1977dc.". Also the image generation was not always consequent. It has generated cinematic pictures even when vector illustration was set.

Uploading a web-published .zip file; since quick share are disabled from AdminsThank you for arranging such an detailed cohort for new Rise + SL AI features
HI all; peers
major my changes/experiments are in lesson 13 Changes:
Tabs to knowledge check: I feel the engagement doubles when you have to push your self through a question rather than just popping open some tabs/accordions and navigating through heavy texts.
Edit AI: To change multiple things "as per my flavors of my theme colors"
Create AI image prompt from text: Loved that features; asking AI to write for AI.
AI Features: Instant Convert is real time saver; Have been using for a while now. There been situations where you have to put in content to visualize how it actually looks; but the block may now suffice the look and feel you need. You need to hit and try again. With this new features you can shuffle between multiple things and saves a lot of copy pasting time
Feedback: I saw instant convert to checklist was not an option for now.
Challenges: AI image and prompts wont suffice your needs at the first go; Back and forth gives you what you need.Happy Friday you all. Thanks!!!
