I have selected the following two questions.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
The most valuable editing tools for me are "rewrite" and "shorten." Since English is not my native language, these tools help me write learning content in a more varied way.
- Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
For me the most intuitive one is the AI Text-to-Speech Audio feature in combination with the additional function to create captions. This was the first AI feature that I used and it was really self-explaining. So, great job from the Articulate team 👍

I would agree with you there - it's very intuitive, and the Elevenlabs voices are incredible. They really do not need any tweaking most of the time.

I was impressed by the quality of the voices as well. Especially for drama and emotion.

I am also consistently impressed by the voices that Articulate offers. They sound noticeably more natural and conversational compared to other tools I have used. I especially appreciate the wide range of options available, which support representation and make it easier to select a voice that aligns well with the intended character or learner experience.

I Agree they really surprised me, I remember using them like a year ago and they were nothing like these.

I agree with you, Alex. English is not my native language either, so using AI tools to rephrase, shorten or lengthen the content is very useful.

Hi everyone. I understand a learning course creation starts in English but cannot be created directly in other language, right? So I would have the AI Assistant generate the content first in English and then have it translated?

The text to speech feature has been great! I like to switch them off between lessons within a module so that the voice changes and keeps people engaged, instead of melding all together.

I've had to start keeping a log of all the voices I used in a course as sometimes I work with multiple designers, and we choose different voices for the same images. 🤣 Oops!

do this often using 2 or 3 voices per module as I feel like it's more like the learner is participating in a conversation.

I love the text-to-speech feature. Unbelievable the number of different voices to select and including changing the tone. Tone is very important when considering your target audience.

I agree with you on the value of the rewrite and shorten tools, especially when working in a second language. They make it so much easier to refine content and keep it clear, natural, and engaging.
And yes, the Text-to-Speech with caption generation is incredibly intuitive. It’s one of those features that just “works” without needing a lot of explanation. Articulate really nailed the usability on that one.

I agree, AI Text-to-Speech Audio is easy to use, and the voices sound more natural than I expected.

I love how we are able to change up the setting when regenerating the same sentence in text-to-speech! Most other text-to-speach AI tools lack this and tend to either give the same thing after regeneration (which is obviously not what we want or we wouldn't have regenerated hahaha), or completely changes up some words. Being able to choose the stability is amazing in this case.
Also, shorten and other in-built scripts are indeed very very useful as it gets straight to the point and they seem to stay very loyal to the original tone and message of the text. - OliviaWerner-8a2 days agoCommunity Member

Text to speech is a game changer! The available voices are great, and it saves so much time, not having to generate audio and captions elsewhere. Super useful in Rise and Storyline. - What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
The image generator- the images are alright, but it is difficult to find exactly what I want, and to ensure that images are consistent throughout the course.

I agree about the text to speech. We currently use WellSaid so we have to create the audio, download it, and then insert into Storyline. This will save so much time!

I agree; the AI text-to-speech generation tool is very intuitive and the range and quality of voices is excellent! My SMEs used to feel that text-to-speech narration was inferior to an actual human voice recordings, but with the dramatic improvement in quality their opinion has shifted to where they now prefer it. Creating text-to-speech is so much easier from a development and maintenance standpoint, too.
