Hi all -
During the practice activities, I found the suggested prompts in the AI panel to be the most intuitive and immediately useful. I’m constantly refining language for clarity, tone, and consistency. Tools like “make shorter” and “adjust tone” feel like natural extensions of my workflow because they help me quickly align content to our style guide without losing the intended meaning. I also appreciate how the prompts seem to “anticipate” what I might need next—it removes some of the cognitive load and lets me stay focused on designing a good learner experience.
What surprised me most was how differently the AI handled text vs. image generation. Text generation tended to be more long‑winded and sometimes repetitive, so I found myself spending extra time editing and tightening the content. Image generation was generally smoother, but things got tricky whenever the AI included text inside the image. That’s where I had to get really intentional with my prompts to clear out distracting or jumbled text while keeping the parts of the image that worked well. It definitely reinforced the importance of thoughtful prompting and iterative refinement.
On the flip side, audio generation really impressed me. The persona options sound natural and versatile enough that we may not need some of our current tools anymore. It’s exciting to think that we can produce high‑quality narration without the robotic tone that often comes with synthetic voices.
Overall, the practice activities have reinforced the importance of reviewing, refining, and treating AI as a collaborator rather than a final‑draft generator. The more intentional I am with prompting, the better (and faster!) the results.

Hi SarahBush you made an excellent point here:
the importance of reviewing, refining, and treating AI as a collaborator rather than a final‑draft generator.
I like to say the AI Course Draft generator gets you about 80-90% of the way to a completed course, but it doesn't replace your expertise as an instructional designer and e-learning developer. It's up to you to refine and finesse the draft to make it 100% learner-ready.
I'm so glad you had a good experience with the audio generation! The ElevenLabs voices we made available in the AI Assistant are the best in the industry. 🙌
