- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why? Since I work in Storyline more often than Rise, the AI Entrance Animation feature will be a huge time saver for me. Adding entrance animations to multiple elements can get pretty time-consuming, especially when building more interactive slides. Having AI help with that will make the process a lot faster and let me spend more time focusing on the instructional design side of things instead of the repetitive setup work. I am also excited about the text to speech feature.
Right now we use WellSaid, and it can be a bit of a process. You have to create the audio there, download the file, and then upload it into the course. If something changes later, you have to go back into WellSaid, recreate the audio, and repeat the whole process again.
Having AI audio built directly into the tool will be a huge time saver. It will make it much easier to generate and update narration without jumping between platforms.
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
One of the biggest challenges I ran into was getting the prompts just right to create the image I had in mind. If the prompt was too vague, the results were somewhat different from what I expected. It took some trial and error to figure out how detailed I needed to be when describing what I wanted in the image.
I also noticed that even small changes in wording could completely change the result. Sometimes I had to try a few different versions of the same prompt before the AI generated what I was looking for. It definitely took a little experimenting to learn what worked best.
Overall, it was a bit of a learning process, but once I started being more specific with my prompts, the results improved a lot. My team and I are creating a "Prompt Library" to support us as we develop.

A prompt library!! What a brilliant idea. I'd be curious to see if you end up with trends in what prompts are worthwhile to add to your library.
