Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
The AI Assistant feature that felt most useful to me was the instant convert tool with blocks. I think it’s a great tool for figuring out what type of activity would be the most helpful to the learner without jeopardizing the time and effort it would take to build it out of the inputted content each time. Another feature that felt useful was being able to use ‘edit text’ for bolding, highlighting, or changing certain parts of a text block without manually making that switch. If it was a repetitive word I would want to emphasize, I wouldn’t have to edit it mid-typing like usual.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
During the sorting activity process, I had challenges with the categorization chosen by the AI tool. I also had challenges with how AI took the information when creating the knowledge check. What these two activities have in common is that it lacked the same context as the person using the tool, so it relied on the only material it did have to generate these answers. From first glance it was amazing that it was able to sort out the information, but with closer inspection I could see repetition in the answers generated and how it was categorized as not being ideal for learning the material. It acted as a great reminder to always review the material.
I did not read the content generated from the sorting to accordion or process to sorting practice activities. I did notice that when I did the summarize the lesson activity (the 8th practice for Rise), it did not summarize the lesson for me.
