Which editing tools were most valuable?
I felt the rewrite and change‑tone were the real standouts. They made it easy to experiment with voice and clarity without rewriting everything myself. As creative as I am, writing is not my strongest point. It's like having an editor who works instantly but still needs supervision. In Rise the instant convert AI tool also made it super easy to change how content is displayed or create more interactive elements without putting too much time and effort into it.What challenges did you face?
Whether copy, images, or sound effects, the biggest challenge was getting exactly what I wanted without being extremely specific. Vague prompts led to vague results, which reinforced a key lesson: AI rewards clarity, constraints, and context. It’s not magic, it’s more like a mirror for how well you think through your ask, making you really contemplate what your end result will be.- DTossettiCommunity Member
So true regarding AI rewarding more specific prompts. Also, I fear I'll find myself in some rabbit holes with tools like sound effects, wasting the time savings AI helps achieve, just to get distracted by finding the perfect ambient noise. LOL. :)

Which AI Assistant feature felt the most useful?
The new AI text-to-speech voices are incredibly realistic, and they are quick to generate and preview. Additionally, in Storyline, it's amazing how fast and easy it is to add animations to multiple objects using the AI Assistant.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
The AI-generated images are getting better, but they still require careful review for errors and anomalies, even with very specific prompts.- LinhuiGuo-26208Community Member
I agree. I will use the AI voice feature a lot in my courses. However, I feel it is necessary to check the closed captions to ensure the audio and captions are perfectly aligned.
- BrianWaters-6b8Community Member
Absolutely - the closed captions always need tweaking in my view. That pesky couple of words that haven't actually been spoken yet... definitely hit the nail on the head there.
- ChristinaIfillCommunity Member
Jessica - I agree about AI Images. They have come a very long way, but you still have to count to make sure no one has 6 fingers on one hand, or a lamp is not floating in mid-air!

1. Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
- AI voice
- Generate quiz questions
- Adjusting the length and tone of texts
- Generate AI images with various styles available
2. What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
I am impressed with the quality of the AI voice feature and the various options available for adjusting the length and tone of the text.
Also, when provided with information such as the course title, description, learning objectives, and keywords, Rise can generate a well-crafted draft that includes images and different block formats. This functionality significantly helps IDs save time when assembling the draft.
3. Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
I found that all the text editing tools are very helpful and offer a wide range of options for adjusting texts and scripts based on learning content.
The IDs and the SME team could discuss the length and tone of the scripts to ensure they are aligned with the learning objectives and training purposes.

The AI voices have vastly improved - and sound conversational. I appreciate the integration with WellSaid. I also appreciate the text editing tools. I can't recall how many times I've asked AI to concise me up.

The AI voices are what we use on a daily basis now. They are conversational and so easy to edit. It has been a game-changer for our department.

I selected the following two questions
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
- I feel like I will definitely use the re-write feature a lot. Because I work with SMEs that have a very deep knowledge of their area of expertise, I often have to re-write and simplify what they are saying. This is going to be a lifesaver for me!
- What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
- I think the biggest challenge I noticed was keeping the design cohesive when using the AI Image Generator. Even when using the "Editorial" feature each time, I tended to get a wide variety of options that didn't always fit the same style.
- JessicaLough687Community Member
Hi Annie - I agree! Design cohesion is a challenge I've also experienced when using the AI images.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?

Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
Text-to-Speech seems the most useful to me. It's very good and allows me to tweak the script without needed to re-record anyone.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted?
I had trouble getting a "ding ding" bell sound effect for a correct answer. It would only create a single ding. I had to go through lots of different prompts before I got anything I was looking for. I think I ended up using like "a bell ringing two times" or "twice" to get it.
- ChristinaIfillCommunity Member
I also have had to play around with sound effects to get them right, but was very excited when I found they exist in the AI Audio options. That adds so much more audio creativity than just having the spoken text! I also like the sample shown in the recording about adding ambient noise in the background.

I've used the AI tool since it has come out so most of these are pretty intuitive for me. However, here are two that I found very helpful.
Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
I think because I tend to use ChatGPT or even Copilot, one of the things I found helpful is not having to sent the persona of the AI. There are times that I have had to change the level of comprehension when using the AI tool to create text.Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why?
I do like the rewrite and change tone features. It makes it quick and easy to take the existing text from your storyboard to sound more learner-friendly rather than so technical or process oriented. One little nitpick thing is I notice the differences between Rise and Articulate in how the enhancements for the AI tool are better in Storyline than Rise. That could be due to platform or application, but I wish there were some of the features in Storyline that could be mirrored over to Rise (e.g., accessibility feature).
Overall, with using the AI tools for some time now, it has been great and it gets better each time with every iteration version of Articulate that gets pushed out.Hi cassien77 that's really great feedback! Could you share a bit more about what felt stronger in the AI tools in Storyline compared to Rise? Specific examples or moments where you noticed the difference would be especially useful!

- What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation? I was pleasantly surprised at the image generation. I have used image generation in the past and it's getting better and better and really expands the creative possibilities.
- Which editing tools (rewrite, shorten, change tone, etc.) did you find most valuable, and why? I think the accessibility checking and linking it to the policies is very helpful and educational, and the alt text generator is a huge time saver.

Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities? In the videos and practice activities I appreciated seeing and trying out the different ways you could get to AI tools depending on what you were working on – in the tool bar at the top, at the block level, or within the block or while editing a specific area or interaction of the block. That gets me exactly to the right place to apply AI much more efficiently. For example, I had only used AI Image generator from the tool bar at the top in the past, then I'd download the image I liked, then upload it in whatever block I wanted to use it in. Knowing that it is embedded just about everywhere, it is so much easier to go right to the exact spot AI could be leveraged and to generate it right there.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? I am disappointed that generated images include words that are misspelled, even when the word to use is included in the prompt. To test it out with the latest version of AI Assistant in our practice activities, in the flash card activity I added to the prompt “Include only the word Advertisement.” In one of the four images, it was spelled AVARTSCEMENT. The other three were spelled correctly. I do find it frustrating when it changes spelling when the word to use is given in the prompt, or when it includes words are spelled incorrectly when the word is not in the prompt at all.
- SarahBushCommunity Member
ChristinaIfill I noticed the same with in-image text and couldn't find the right prompt to finesse the image.
- ChristopherM792Community Member
The recurring misspelled or incorrect words in the AI-generated images went from disappointing to frustrating. As strong as the tool is overall, generating accurate text within images seems to be one of its biggest weaknesses.
- LindaflynnCommunity Member
Couldn't agree more. Images are getting better, but still have a ways to go to improve.

Which AI Assistant feature felt most intuitive or useful to you during the practice activities?
The AI Image creation and the process of using the prompts and other settings was the most intuitive and what I think, will be the most useful for me when I begin creating my online learning content. I liked how I could take text from my course and have the AI image creator provide me with a few possible options and styles of images to use in my course.
What Challenges did I face: When experimenting with the AI audio creation, I experienced the window for that tool, "resetting" before I could generate the voice/file to insert into my course. This happened a couple of times, but I continued to stick with it and after a few seconds, the third time was the charm and I was able to insert the audio into the block. I've also experienced this same issue at another work location and on a different network.
Overall, I'm excited with the AI functionality in Rise and continue to be excited about using all of the tools!

The questions I selected are:
What surprised you about how AI handled text or media generation?
It surprised me that AI can be so literal. It took some time in the practice activities to get an image to generate without cookies! A fun challenge and it helped me really think about what I ask AI to do.
What challenges did you face when trying to get AI to produce the results you wanted? I found that I sometimes had to ask it to regenerate multiple times and refine my words so I could get the results I wanted.
Overall, so far this has been a great way to learn how to use the AI features in Articulate!
- VincenzaTCommunity Member
I also really enjoyed the cookie challenge! Took a while for me to figure it out and get something that was suitable. I like how having to keep refining your prompts also makes you get better at knowing what you actually need and break it down in a way that gets you successful results.
- ChristopherM792Community Member
The cookie challenge was a challenge! Took me a few minutes to really think about what I wanted on the screen and to prompt around that. Just goes to show that a good prompt is needed for a correct image.
- KarenRector-08cCommunity Member
Agreed, I also had to really think about what prompt to use to get what I was looking for.
