Welcome & Introductions

Hi everyone! I’m Mery Lopez–van der Biest. I’m based in Calgary, Canada, but originally from Venezuela. I work for an oil and gas company that supports operations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. My official title is Trainer Developer, though in my day-to-day work I really see myself as an eLearning specialist, designing and building learning experiences that actually work for people.

I joined this Certification Cohort after a great invitation from our leader, and I’m excited to learn, reconnect with what’s happening in Storyline, and sharpen my skills along the way. On a more personal note, we have a collective dog named Nico—I pet-sit him on Fridays and sometimes on weekends, proudly keeping up the family tradition of naming our dogs after dictators.
