Living Coral Aquarium

Check Out the Demo Here

I created this demo originally back in December 2018 to celebrate Living Coral, the Pantone Color of the Year 2019. I updated it using the AI entrance animations and motion paths to simulate an underwater experience with the titles and layers. The fish gently bob and weave.

The challenge I had was to ensure the motion paths were long enough for the fish to swim entirely off the slide. I do not know JScript, but I could figure out how to make the paths longer so the fish wouldn't disappear before swimming off the screen.

I also added alt text and provided buttons to explore each fish that can be accessed via your keyboard as well as a mouse.

I think I prefer making paths the old fashioned way--you can see how your object path extends across the slide easier. But I learned something new here.

Beautiful!  I do not have access to SL at the moment so can't explore the backend. I'm intrigued by the coral's shadow on the Clownfish as it passes behind the coral, is that a javascript ask? It caught my eye.

Thank you for the question. That is just an object order impact. That coral art has a shadow on it (applied in the format panel) and the fish is below the coral on the timeline so it looks like it is swimming into the coral. No javascript for that one.

Thank you, I missed the shadow on the coral when they appeared - very nice detail - gives it extra oomph!
