What is the going rate for course designers

Hi.  I hope this is an appropriate topic for the forum.  

Would someone help me out by letting me know what the going pay rate is for course designers?  I am a subject matter expert but do not have the ability to create the course so will be contracting/hiring that out and have no idea what it costs.

Also, does anyone have expertise in virtual reality course design/creation?  What is the pay rate for that designer?

    It's a very difficult question. The pay rate may vary several times, or even dozens of times, depending on what qualifications you need employees and in which country.

    Without specifics, I can give a range from 300 to 15,000 dollars per month

      Thanks for your reply, Alex.  The course is a US 30 hour long teen driver education course.  Using SL 360 preferably.  Since the learners are 15 year old teens the course would need to be highly interactive and engaging.
