Case: Operation Dopamine - A Noir Comic Mystery

Hi E-Learning Heroes! šŸ‘‹

For this week's Comic Book-Inspired Challenge, I decided to go full "Noir Detective" graphic novel style. šŸ•µļøā€ā™‚ļøāœØ

In my project, "Case: Operation Dopamine", the learner steps into the shoes of a private investigator exploring a ransacked laboratory. The mission? To find the 6 stolen components of Gamification (such as Engagement, Customer Lifetime Value, and Emotional Connection) and restore color to a black-and-white corporate world.

I had so much fun blending storytelling, visual design, and instructional concepts into this one. I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

  • That is such a great idea and was very fun to investigate! What tools did you use to create the visuals?

Thanks a lot šŸ˜€! I used Gemini (Nano Banana 2) to generate the initial images and then refined the composition in Photoshop. Once the images were ready, I used a specific prompt in Gemini to create an animation and transitions between each frame to bring the concept to life. It was a very fun process!

Great concept brought to life, well done.  Similar to an old PC bladerunner game. Did you get an actor for the V.O.?

Love the bleak noir style leading into the vibrant life-filled conclusion. This demo was excellent and thank you for sharing!
